I wonder if there is any coincidence between this and the inability to fill classes. Vacancies for FO's is just strange to me. I doubt all 50 positions will be filled anyway.

I don't think the brain trust sees it as a loss of FOs in JFK as much as a need for FOs in CVG. Besides, people have been complaining about not flying on reserve or getting their 100 hours in JFK. This would help that matter.

They are training so many 50 seat fo's for the 70's coming online that they are going to be short in a month or two. For once (and I know this is almost crazy talk) I think the company may actually be looking forward rather than reacting.
Remember R.P. in crew forecasting and planning just got promoted to the head of that department a while back, and I think he may be one of the most competent people over at the G.O.
Now back to the usual conspiracys/rumors. Word has it that we may actually be keeping 10 of the 50's that were supposed to go back in exchange for the 900's.
Also for those that care 39 pilots quit last month. 18 CA's 21 FO's.
