FYI...MX was told to receive 7 -900's N600LR-N607LR beginnig Sept 1st and to expect the 7 additional aircraft coming from the factory on top of the remaining one from our original order that's due for delivery in February.

From the recent Personal Electronic Devices email:
"In emergency situations, the use of such devices may be approved on a limited basis by a supervisor."
Does that mean if I get a song stuck in my head and it drives me crazy, I can pull out my iPod?

Wow a day of positive information from the Union and the Company....wierd, well positive besides the fact that we are still furloughing, but the good news is the Union finally stepped up and told us what the heck they are doing...this could have dispelled a ton of rumors

I don't see the logic behind the new vacancy bid. There are already 20 more captains than FO's on the 70/90 and they need 37 more captains and 14 more FO's. So that means we will have new totals of 219 captains and 176 FO's. Not to mention the minimum number of FO's they say they need is 180. Why do we need 43 more captains that FO's, and why are they putting themselves 4 FO's short of what they say they need? Does anyone ever even try to use their head over in the GO?

Here's how this will go, with regard to the additional 900's. They will beef up the staffing to a point where there are so many F.O.'s on the 70/90 that the average reserve will fly 15-20hrs p/month. Crew planning will send the entire company into a panic giving scheduling the idea that we are so understaffed that no one will be released from duty early, people will be junior manned even when there are adequate reserves, and to top it all off there won't be an ounce of open time despite the "staffing crisis".
That's my experience with the Circus called Comair. It certainly keeps me entertained or maybe just insane I can't tell the difference anymore.

To Jimmy Buffett quotes come to mind:
"Indecision may or not be my problem"
"If we weren't all crazy we would go insane"
