Well, IF you are awarded these days off, they obviously can't make you work, unless they somehow JM you! Just don't answer your phone. Looks like they put everyone to work right up until they are furloughed. Just remember you have to hand in your company ID once furloughed, so you won't be able to jumpseat as they will take you out of CASS. Now, I'm not sure what benefits you guys are getting, but if you keep your Delta benefits, you can still non-rev to Europe obviously. Hopefully the Union will come through and get a better benefits package for you guys, I know it will be though for some guys without health insurance.

So whats the latest rumor on the united flying, heard through the mill we were close to signing a 5 year deal.

Also heard from the MEC that comair is going to look for an additional 300 pilots to cut through voluntary and buy outs. Anyone hear that one yet?

IF we would sign a deal with United for flying, wouldn't we need pilots?? Also, if I would listen to S.B. I would be flying United trips already...

like i said its only what ive heard, just wondering if maybe this rumor has grown legs, is new, or maybe some truth. I wish we were getting more flying from anyone. Might save my job but i think Pantera's sticker said it best. Just one more plunge to dislodge that last turd and were all down the drain

Has anyone on the furlough list received their "official letter" yet? I'm listed for October 5th, so I thought that I would have received mine by now.

I hear Comair is treating off days just like min line values. They just impose them and use them how they wish. Just because you have been awarded days off, doesn't mean you will get them. Their response "Grieve it."

If we wind up getting rid of anywhere close to that number of people in addition to those on the furlough list, I wouldn't be suprised if they are just slowly(few months) closing the doors.

It has to be signed for, so maybe you weren't there when they tried to deliver it.
