Here is PSA's website address www.psaairlines.com Looks like its still inst/comm/multi.
Sweet website: mypilotcareer.com seems very thorough!
I have PSA in my sights.Seems like a good place to be and I am a fan of CLT and NC.I hope I get the opportunity to work there! I am even more excited to apply based on the positive comments and great attitudes of the current and future pilots of PSA.

Everyone that I know well at PSA loves it there.
C'mon Texas, you've been at PSA for how long, four, five months? And its your first airline experience, right? You're still on a freakin' honeymoon there.

You sound just like Joe Isuzu, (or worse Joe Rose) with that trust me bit.

Anyway, here are some quotes from the ALPA 61 (PSA DAY Local) message boards in re: PSA & how great it is...

In re a Dayton Daily News article on PSA hiring CC students as dispatchers...

Had this guy dispatch me last week from CLT to MOB. The weather around ATL was crap, so I called to ask him what he thought (maybe take a different route). He said, oh the weather in MOB is blah blah blah, looks great, CLT is the same. So I say "Ok, that's nice, how does the enroute radar look?".......he attempts to cover the phone with his hand and yells "hey, what's the enroute radar........" Of course at that point I'm LMAO! Shortly he comes back and says, "yeah, there are some thunderstorms around ATL, but they are "popups". To which I say, "Popups, hmmmm, what are the tops on those?" Big man Ashanti comes back with "tops are around 55,000". Now I'm ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!! Ok, can I speak to the real dispatcher now..........

A typical bidding snafu...

Two guys junior to me got round two lines ahead of me in the bid I submitted. Even if I didn't bid, I should have been given the line ahead of them. Considering one of them is a line with 15 days off and I got a total-rsv line, who do I talk to to resolve this?

THE MEC CHAIRMAN"S UPDATE...

This is Mark Stanley, your MEC Chairman with an update for Wednesday September 5th, 2007 with 2 items.

Item 1-Flow Through

I am very disappointed to report to you that the Company has refused to release me, your Merger Committee Chairman Dennis Krolczyk, and your Negotiating Committee Chairman Justin Chase for the latest 5 party meeting concerning Flow Through scheduled for tomorrow, September 6th, in Washington, DC citing a lack of adequate staffing.
This meeting, sponsored by ALPA at the request of myself and PDT MEC Chairman Gordon Daniel, is an integral step in consummating a workable flow through program between PSA, PDT, US Airways, and America West, all of which will be in attendance along with top ALPA National Officers.
Our inability to attend will create an undue delay in this process and expose our pilots to potential harm by denying them the opportunity to exercise their rights to flow when positions become available later this year.
The lack of a viable flow through program will also be detrimental to the company’s ability to attract and retain experienced pilot candidates.

Item 2-Bidding

Since the Company continues to experience difficulties in processing electronic bids, and since bidding electronically does not always allow a pilot to print and retain a copy of their bid, nor allow them or the Association to adequately determine if their submitted bid has been utilized correctly by the Company should a problem arise, your Association leadership is asking all pilots to revert back to bidding by fax. All pilots bidding by fax should call crew planning to confirm receipt of their bid, particularly if making changes and submitting an updated bid form. This will allow all pilots to retain a hard copy of their bid for use by the Association should problems arise in the bid and award process.

Thank you.
Fly safe.

Mark Stanley
PSA MEC Chairman

And my favorite thread on missing perfect attendance bonuses...

Did anyone get paid the perfect attendance bonus? They Stiffed me.

Well I see no diffrence in my pay check! Im thinking I got stiffed as well. If its not lised on the pay stub its not in the check.

Mine is not in there either. I emailed Joe Rose on the 28th of July.

Gee, how many people saw this coming? What a bunch of xxxholes. Check your sent messages box, at least you'll have proof.

You know, it's a bunch of **** that we had to request it in the first place, and then they stiff half of us. And they wonder why we wont help them out.

I followed all the instructions and it's not on my pay statement.

I just checked, mine is in there. The reason for the shortage in my check was because I was out with a head cold for half of my four day last week. PSA took the liberty of deducting the whole trip from my sick bank.

Interesting factoid, I was hired at PSA in Aug 05, if I was still there as of this June bid, I'd have been no 372 in the company, #84 on the FO list in CLT, and there were only 80 lines in CLT. I was holding a hard line at Eagle, and would have still been on reserve at PSA.

Texas,

They refused to let your MEC Chairman go to negotiate your flow through to mainline!

You've got a dispatcher who doesn't know how to look at enroute WX radar, and then says TS tops at FL550 are just 'pop-ups'.

They violated the contract by awarding lines out of seniority order!

They stiffed half they guys who applied for their perfect attendance bonus.

And this is whiny Union crap?

Just what would you consider an unreasonable action by the company? I hate to say it, cause I'm really, truly, not trying to pick a fight, but is there anything you won't roll over for?

PSA isn't the worst place in the world, not by a long shot, so long as there is Mesa, and BloJets. PSA could actually be a really nice place to work, its not unredeemable. But denying that there is a pressing need for improvement does no one any favors.

Of the 16 new hire in my class, only four remain. A 75% turnover rate in less than 2 years, with all of us making lateral moves, has got to make some impression.
Why would 12 of 16 start all over again at another airline? Nobody got a raise - everybody took a pay cut to leave PSA. Why would that many people do that?

Clearly, there is something at PSA which is not kosher.
