I don't see a slam dunk for ALPA on this one. I didn't read through and go, "WOW !" It was kinda sad to actually put in writing about loosing planes.
We've read on this very forum from those who proclaimed, "ASA will never get a contract until the SKW vote it over", and obviously they were wrong.

so what do you intend or hope for in terms of pay? are you ok with it because it ranks among the highest paying regionals in the long term, or would you like to see any changes in the near term?

Keep in mind, you're talking to a new hire FO that makes 19 dollars an hour

I honestly don't know what we should expect. I'm too new at the game to have a full grasp of the issues.
But, ya, I'd like my pay to go up. Any first year should, and I think it must, for simple economics. If we want to attract more pilots from a shrinking pool of eligible applicants, we gotta do something.
I believe SAPA is supposed to start working on a new pay proposal soon, so hopefully I'll be involved in that in some way.

well 3 weeks is entirely way too little time to draft a pay proposal and vote on it. so im thinking after the alpa vote things should for the most part return to normal after the 100 emails youll get from management thanking you for keeping evil ALPA out.

I think its going to happen! Its going to be close, but I think we have this in the bag. I got a call from a fedex guy the other day, it was nice to see all the guys from other airlines giving up there free time to help us out here. Thanks to all.
