Good job! Glad you're sticking with it. Keep us up to date. Don't forget to SLEEEEP. It helps.

just remember when in doubt, an airplane is an airplane. When you get task saturated, fly the airplane and prioritize. Don't be so worried about setting the altitude in the box if you are slow and low on the glideslope. Get plenty of sleep and also throwin a ball with your sim partner while saying your call outs helps because it makes you do it while you're concentrating on something else. Just curious what kind of experience you had before going to the airlines?

Wow...great idea...why didn't I think of that. Next time I guess!

Congrats to the poster for getting through!

That is so funny!

Trying to study but everytime I check this thing I get a laugh.

That wasn't in reference to you though I love the correlation.

Nice job on getting through that last one (I know, I probably already told you that). Seriously, sim 3 went like hell for me too. I'm not sure what it was, but I got the worst review I've gotten so far on that one. Sucks, but walk it off and keep studying. The technique of throwing a ball around to help solidify your callouts really helps as well, that is, if your roommate is down with it. :P

By the way, sims 4-7 really solidified my technique I feel. My sim partner also showed a huge improvement between 4 and 7 as well. I think it takes most people 3-4 sims to really settle in, so I doubt you're unique in that respect.

See ya around. You'll be on the line before you know it I'm sure.

Now if I can only figure out how to land this thing in a crosswind...hmmm...

Took me (and all the guys I knew) until Sim 6 on the Jungle-Jet until everything actually "clicked..." After then it was a cake-walk. Just gotta get through those first few! Now go show 'em who's boss ;-)

You and me both. . . Let's see, no slipping, yet kick it out of the crab into a slip right before impact and watch the bank angle.

I like that you refer to you landings as "impacts" I suspect there may be more issues with your landings than just your crosswind technique

Seriously though guys, just fly it in the crab till you start to flare then just a little rudder to nudge the nose inline with the center line and touch down. Why is it hard to watch the bank angle? Every airplane I've ever flown will raise the outside wing when you kick the rudder... You try and slip a jet down from altitude and you WILL have a problem. Just talk to those numbnuts who made a hard landing and dragged a wing in the dirt trying to use a slip to loose altitude. This RJ ain't your flightshcol's Cessna. Time to nut up and learn how to fly a swept wing jet.

One can not overcome 12+ years of deeply ingrained habits overnight by sheer willpower alone. If it's any consolation, the passengers have been complimenting the captains for allowing the flight attendant to learn how to fly and they have remarked on how her landings have improved. . .

BTW, MY flight school never had Cessnas on my flight line.
