I was in the Nov 19th class, and the CR7 went to mostly junior people (5 from our class went to the 70), while the ATR went to the 4 most junior in the class, myself included. Age for the ATR is 23 and under, but don't look bad on it, you are also in a very good position being 23 or younger and already being in an airline. My class had people up to age 30, so just think when we reach their age what position we will be in, in relation to where they were when they were that age!

Will the ATR upgrade be affected by this age 65 rule that just passed?

Since they took so many ATR's out of your class they didnt take any out of ours. I know I would have gotten the ATR if they did though. I hear its a great plane and all you guys stick together and know how to party. I got the 7 but I still will keep my prop roots in me. I dont want to turn into one of those lazy jet jocks. HAHA

My class was also very diverse. I cant even imagine where everyone as young as we are will be in 10, 20, or even 30 years from now. I have to say that 787 might be on the list for a type I would like lol.

Actually from what I've heard in the ATR department it is customary for them to take people from every other class to the ATR.

BTW, did Brad Holt come talk to your new hire class?

Thats the rumor thats going around, but from what the ip's where saying that has been in the works for 4 yrs. Although the the new prez said in a email to the company that the atr's are scheduled to leave the property in like june or july or something. I dunno, I have been told just to believe it when it happens.

Does ASA have a uniform allowance? Also, what is the policy on coats (navy blue or black 3/4 or full length coat)? I'd like to get a nice one so I don't freeze to death while preflighting (while away from atl). I'm just not a fan of the company leather jackets many pilots wear. I'm still waiting for all the "pre-employment briefing material." I'm supposed to be getting a briefing phone call sometime soon, maybe that will cover all of the info.
