You'll have plenty of time to learn to fly the RJ, while you're flying the RJ!!

Are you kidding me? No one has the money to pay for 1200 turbojet time, and do you realize that the majority of regional jet pilots are under 40 right????? Also I have had 35 year olds get lost on their cross country's before, because they felt like they didn't need to listen; but my younger students make them perfect. Go back to posting in the flight training section where some one is a fool enough to listen to you.
Pretty sure he was being sarcastic, man.

well since i have been here over 2 years, i wouldnt quite say i am a new hire. and where do you work?? every airline has its funny business and people that they wish weren't there. a few pilots don't represent an entire pilot group. i created this post, i started the thread. i think it is ridiculous, but calling out the entire pilot group is not correct. and i would say yes if anyone comes here now and have done their homework, they know exactly what is going on. when i came here negotiations were moving fast, and everyone thought that a deal would be struck in the first few months of negotiations.

I can name MANY instances, my friend, about stupid things pilots have done. Seem to remember a story where a pilot hero of KLM messed something pretty basic up that cfis teach students not to do..........over 500 people paid the price. I do understand the weather conditions as well......
Bottom line, old people crash planes, young people crash planes. PEOPLE CRASH PLANES. It happens. Where do you honestly want young people to gain PIC time? Should it all be learned while being a CFI? Then I can spin it to sound like this; "Why do the young pilots with so few hours TRAIN people. Yes, these 250 hour clowns teach people to fly". I know, its not a jet, but still, pretty amazing if you ask me. How about military pilots? They carry bombs. We all start some where. Even the 747 pilots wern't born through the legs of god and placed there, and are the alpha and omega of flying.

In an English class at EMU, we read a story, or essay really, about the plesentries of eating your new born baby. It was satire. A lot of times when something sounds so stupid, take a deep breath and think. You'll find a lot of people are sarcastic, and you'll get and catch on to many more jokes. Pilots seem to be one of the more sarcastic bunch. People I mig weld with at night are not, they like puns. Easy for the morons. I can only take "hey, its a hairy *****" jokes when a cat walks by outside for so long. Sarcasm is great. It can put a strong point on a debate/disscusion, and it is usually funny. Works both ways.

About Mesa--I know of at least 2 guys who aren't US citizens who got hired by Mesa. Apparently they're sponsoring work visas.
Here's a Mesa one:
"As a Mesa FO, you will automatically qualify for a comprehensive benefits package through the U.S. government, including a per diem called "food stamps," housing assistance in the wonderful "projects" housing facility in your neighborhood, and even a health plan in the case of disability called "Medicaid." So send us your application today, and get all of these benefits and more!!"
