In DFW they offer you the both jet and non-jet, in ORD you are only offered the jet.....and fyi the posted rate is the correct rate with the 1.8% added in already......

I had someone give me the new .pdf pay scale, so for those of you like me, who are considering, and need to budget here you go!

Year 1 Pay is 24.34 (all airplanes)
Year 2 Pay is 26.26 (all non-jet)
32.89 (all jet aircraft)

Ref the "jets" reserve, from several Eagle guys I have flown with, ORD is not much reserve, however DFW is about a year..................ref San Diego, there is NO base there, they do have one in Los Angeles, but I don't think they are offering that or Miami right now........

There's been 99 openings for FOs in ORD for months now.

If you want ORD you will get it. DFW is more senior and a longer reserve. Talked to a new FO yesterday and he was on reserve one month, then a composite line the second month. He should hold a hard line in three months. If you chose DFW I'd triple those times.

Default 4-5 years sounds better...

Thanks for all the productive replies. I heard from a friend I interviewed with that started on the Jan 7th class. He said the CRJ is full in ord but ERJ is wide open. They told him reserve should be about 2 months but that they will fly the reserve guys 80-90 hrs anyway so its just like having a line. I am looking forward to it! I would hope that the upgrade would drop to about 4-5 years. I think that is a realy realistic time to upgrade to captain. 7+ doesnt sound to good. But I'm an optomist.

I was an optomist on captain upgrades for about 3 years here.

Times change and so too does my positive outlook. At least I'm in the minority actually participating in moving onward and outward. You'll find the bitter Eagle people just mumble and shuffle their feet toward whatever future Eagle dictates for them.

Best of luck to you and your decisions. Seems every regional has its ups and downs. My best advice is simply go to wherever you have no commute or the easiest commute. After a couple of months everything else is secondary.

I'm looking at moving on from flight instruction to working at eagle. I remember hearing something about a 500 dollar payout to anyone that refers another succesful applicant. My friend there isn't sure it's still policy. Is that still the case? I'm also interested in the timeline from when i put in airlineapps to when a class starts for the atr? I'm currently sitting on 700 total and 75 multi.
