You require a finance degree to make simple money transactions? Didn't need any degree to see Enron spriral into oblivion. Same with Mesa. Just read a few headlines and you can start to form a pretty solid opinion that they are on their way out. Oh yeah, I worked there for 2 years and saw first hand what goes on. Pathetic.

Mesa just sent us an email annoucing that CRJ vacations have been cancelled through the first part of may. Nice for the men who have families, and were planning spring break. Email came from our new COO.

He did say that we have an "industry leading upgrade program, and haven't ever furloughed anyone, even with the events of 9/11."

For some reason, those two things don't satisfy me, and most likely won't satisfy the pilots who now have no time off for the next 4 months.

I'm outta here, RW here I come, 170 class next month.

If that is the case, who do you think will be awarded the flying for Delta that Mesa has squandelled?

WHAAAAATTT? They most certainly did furlough after 9/11!

Maybe they aren't counting probationary pilots, who have a lower status than the cockroaches in the training center.

Yeah that whole we've never furloughed pilots is a total crock. He also claims to have the highest paid pilots in the regional industry. Thats almost a funny one if it wasnt so pathetic a statement.
Who would get the Delta flying? Anyones guess.

-They had about 90 pilots on furlough after 9-11 so that part is b-s.
-Industry leading upgrade program??? Does that mean the 3 days of ground school and 5 sim sessions is the best this circus of an industry has to offer??? No CRM or captain specific stuff has ever been offered...

-There are SO MANY hours of cx vacation that it will take YEARS to catch up. Those cx vacations amount to so much snake-oil. Good luck with that.

ERJ and others-

I meant to include a hint of sarcasm in the post, apparently it wasn't quite strong enough. I was merely repeating the context of the email, not that I bought it or agreed with it. I am leaving for RW shortly.

I don't know why this is a problem for people - if my vacation was cancelled I'd just be SICK about that - SICK, get it, hint, hello, anybody home?
