Yeah I'm out of the biz for a little while. An aviation sabbatical of sorts.

2 CRJ200's
8 CRJ700's
14 CRJ900's
34 B1900's(I believe have been sold already)

6 Hangers (2)Columbia SC (1) Witchita (1) GrandJunction (1) Farmington (1) Dubois

1 Training Facilities in Farmington.

That has to be worth more than the Market Cap of 9 Million.

If Mesa wins the injunction against Delta expect their stock price and market cap to shoot up. If they lose I believe the stock holders will push for liquidation. The assets are worth far more than the company and any stock holder would actually make money on a liquidation.

If you are going to count assets you have to add up liabilities. While MAG's last qtr rpt showed $145m in shareholder equity, I'm not sure how they treat their lease obligations (may not show up as debt). Maybe some acc'ting whiz can tell us.

They have over $500 million in debt from what I have seen. As for liquidation, I don't see how they could really do that since their debt is already equal to, if not more, than their assets and they also have lawsuits from Delta and Aloha, which would add some more in that debt category.

I was talking to someone the other day who has a substancial amount of stock at MAG (more than the average person) and they said it was going to be a tax write-off for them....they simply don't see how they can make any money back on this deal even if they liquidate.

I've been told that SkyWest just got approved to do a two week training on the CRJ for previously rated pilots. Wonder why?

I have to be honest with you, if SKW buys them, it might just be enough to bring ALPA on board.

They won't buy 'em.... but they will buy some planes at fire sale prices, and find a bunch of unemployed pilots who are very current in those same planes.
