I feel bad for Mesa

Based upon what I have read from the snipe man in previous posts, I would surmize he is one of the most educated on the regional forum.

My point is this; I'm just sick of all the Mesa (Freedom) bashing from Comair pilots. Why do they think they are better then Mesa? Shall we compare safety record? Is it the number of accidents Mesa has had versus Comair....that's not exactly a hard one to figure out.
Without making this a ****ing match (please don't make this a ****ing match, I'm not on here enough to read 500 pages of reply's) why can't Comair pilots grow up and start respecting other pilots? I use Comair as an example because they seem to have the most attitude and they seem to know everything about Mesa. I'm not saying respect each others airline, just respect pilots.
Trying to stay positive here, how about that TA that Mesa pilots are going to vote on soon? You can not argue that it is a HUGE improvement then what they currently have whether it passes a pilot vote or not.

The reason Comair guys are giving you Freedom and Mesa guys so much crap is because DL, DCI, and our upper management are pretty much blaming everything on you. Loss of flying, furloughs, and a hold on a lucrative United CPA for 50 seat lift. It's really not your guys fault, and I don't agree with it. I bash MAG all the time, but as the company and JO, not the employees. There are those that just can't distinqish the difference.

Actually the first comment was uncalled for! Second you're damned lucky that due to JO's penny pinching and constant ****ing on your contract that you aren't in the same boat! I know first hand since I was basically beating my head againt the wall daily, trying to make sure your aircraft were safe and airworthy. I couldn't take JO's stonewalling and ego on a daily basis, so I moved on to greener pastures where my ideas are don't fall on deaf ears to I can pretty much do anything I can to make sure all maintenance,MEL's and AOG's are taken care of as expeditiously as possible.

Now here is my rant because I have been mostly quiet up until now but I feel it is deserved after the "safety record" comment which is completely un-called for. When it comes to safety, you guys are lucky. Everytime I have dead headed on a Freedom flight something has gone wrong. Twice, I have been sitting in the back and nearly gone off the side of the runway.
I even had a Freedom flight attendant ask me if stuff like that was normal "at other airlines," because she was starting to fear for her life on many of her flights. This was after one of those nearly going off the side of the runway episodes, which started out as a very unstable approach, high and fast with a stiff crosswind on the VOR 13L JFK; finding out from the F/A, that this was the Captain's first trip back after a medical leave of over a year, and an FO who had just finished IOE the trip before. A very green on green flight that should not have happened. The other incident I speak of was at BOS.
I'll admit I do make mistakes, we all do, even silly stuff, but none of it is irresponsible or intentional, and I do know my limits of what I can and can not do and I have no problem turning to my Captain and saying, "I'm not comfortable with this, let's find another way." Please, for everybody's sake think before you act, and show some professionalism. There are reasons why many accuse you of bringing down the profession and it's not just about pay, in fact it has very little to do with pay, it has a lot to do with the way Mesa pilot's look, and especially act. As much as I hate to say it, you guys are airline pilots, and if I have anything to say about it, you are welcome on any of my flights, as long as we can treat each other with respect and professional courtesy, including these forums.

What does that say about your company?
Most people can't distinguish the difference between company and employees and that's a huge problem.

It says nothing about the company. It just says they are XXXXX, but I can't blame them, they are just puppets. I don't blame Mesa either.
I blame Delta.
I'm sorry that was a little harsh, what I meant to say was that they are a few cards short of a deck.

Have you ever received the finger from a Mesa pilot while taxiing out? Have you ever heard a Mesa pilot call you a scab on the radio? Have you ever been denied a jumpseat while trying to go home on a Mesa plane and have the Captain tell you to get off his f'ing plane before he calls security? Have you had a Mesa pilot in your crashpad pour water all over the beds of Comair pilots? NO SIR YOU HAVE NOT
All of these things have happened to Freedom pilots and every single one of them has been proven to come from a Comair pilot. This isn't just a "select few" disgruntled pilots at Comair. This is a HUGE problem
Why does this bickering even happen at the regional level? If you step back and look, we fight like we're 5 years old. Why are we even wasting our time fighting? This is so childish but we will continue to do it.
