they dont guarantee any base. You will get what your seniority will hold and what is available. They WILL guarantee you a cert at time of offer..... base you wont find out until you have been with the company 5 weeks or so.

There were 3 in my 170 class that had less than 450TT they were all girls though, quincidence i dunno, last i heard one had about 40 hours of IOE and still was not allowed to land the airplane, I find that amazing it has freakin auto throttles how hard can it be.

What Automation does best is mask weakness at the controls. She should have learned to fly in a Cub - even a nosewheel adds too much automation to primary training.

the 170 almost lands itself, even without the autoland option installed. they must've been very bad stick & rudder pilots. and i bet they started the dive for the numbers like most new pilots do (new as in not flying long, not new to an airline) on landing instead of aiming for the touchdown markers.
