I am flying a navajo and getting 28,000 a year to start.
You started in a jet at 17,000 a year.
But once again HERO...thanks for raising the bar.[/quote]
Yes, but thats the same as saying I am a janitor making $45,000 a year and you are a teacher making $38,000. In ten years you will be making 60k flying a navajo and the rj gut will be making 100k. Not sure about his airline, but my benifits are good and I love those travel bennys. How many airlines can you non-rev on? You have to understand that those jobs pay a little more than reg. airlines because you are sucking up piston twin time that is not as helpful as turboprop or jet.

Money isn't everything. The benefits at 9E aren't great, but they are respectable in the regional airline industry. What kind of benefits do you get flying a navajo? Finally, How long will it take to get to 1000 ME turbine at your current employer?
If you think money is evberything. 28k is not bad to start. What does the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th years look like.

I have a friend getting ready to leave the Navy.. he asked about PNCL.. With the current industry problems, is PNCL still giving faily quick upgrades to high time pilots? I understand the company has lots of problems, so will the new contract help fix some of this if it's approved?

I just looked at the complete seniority list and (from what it showed, anyways) it's around 1254..... Which means I gained quite a bit but the bottom caught me faster than I moved up... kinda weird LoL Saw it in ops, take that for what it's worth.

Here's the deal... I want to apologize to all the 9E pilots who have been here and plan on being here, tried to stay here, etc. I consider myself a scab at this point. If I knew how I was going to feel about myself and how I've affected the ENTIRE industry things would be very different. The problem is that I never considered what everyone else was trying to do in life. All I could think about is "get that PIC jet time and get out"... Now that the upgrade time has been stretched considerably (not pointing fingers, but just saying from what I thought to what is reality) now I get plenty of time to sit back and think about exactly what I have done to my future, my family, my friends, but MOST AFFECTED my fellow pilots NOT JUST at 9E but across the board.... You can thank me for signing up when no one else would... You can thank me for staying through training and not leaving, even though I had a really bad gut feeling about this place (and the regional world).
So with that, I want to take the time to apologize to everyone in aviation for beign a scab and not refusing "the assignment" of accepting the first offer that came across the table.
No I won't proof read, and no I won't edit this one!!!!

LoL yes but that doesn't mean I haven't hurt an already irritated situation for others. Because people keep signing up, because people keep taking this kind of pay, rules, etc, is EXACTLY why they do everything in their possible power to hold off a contract. Otherwise they would be trying to ATTRACT pilots with a good one.... That's my understanding of supply and demand.

instead of the worst. everyone has their reason and that isn't important to me. what will be important is when it is time to either walk or sign a contract. that is when i will look to all the pilots here and expect EVERYONE to do the right thing. if they give us a good contract then i expect people to vote yes. i want pinnacle to succeed. i want this to be a profitable company. i know some guys are so bitter that they will vote no on the new contract no matter what it is. i know some people who would probably vote yes on the first thing we get. i also expect that if and when the time comes for us to walk that once again every pilot will do the right thing. we are all in this together. the way i see it is that every time someone is hired here i have gained an extra pair of feet to help us let management know that we ALL mean business.
