No they won't.

Example:
When I first got hired, they were going to send all of the CRJs to ORD and displace all of us lower EMB FOs. I was sent my walking papers to be rebased in LGA. Luckily they changed their mind about the displacement at the last minute and I stayed in ORD.

Is the ATR FO pay correct on this web site. Or do the ATR FO's make more then whats listed. I can't image they would pay the same as the Saab.

There's Jet FO pay and Prop FO pay. That's it and that's all.

There was a TA that got yanked at the last minute in December (long story) that was going to make it one pay scale. That didn't happen and therefore Eagle loses tons of $ from training costs associated with FOs leaving the props for jets because of the pay disparity.

It may sound odd after my last couple of posts, but that's the way it is. You are allowed to leave a prop for a jet as an FO, but cannot sidestep from one jet to another unless it's with a captain upgrade.

Example:
Joe gets hired as a Saab FO. He wants to fly the ATR. He is unable to go from prop to prop, but if he wanted to go to the CRJ or ERJ he could. When he makes captain then he's allowed to choose whatever plane he wants.

That is unfortunate...I really thought Eagle was better than that...

Why are they bumping people to different classes? My buddy was in the May 26th class, and they bumped him to June 6th.

I have worked here for almost 4 years. I'm not exactly an expert, but I do know a thing or two about how it goes. It could be that if all CRJ flying dried up in ORD then they'd retrain you on the EMB, but I just can't say for certain. What's more likely is that they would just offer you a paid move. If I remember the contract correctly that's all you get. All I do know is what has happened to me with the story I wrote earlier.

I would assume it's due to the needs of that particular base that he selected. Now that you choose your base prior to hire, then it probably becomes more fluid about which planes and people fit best for what class date. Again, this is just a guess on my part and I'm unsure of exactly why.

We both chose EMB LGA. I was originally offered May 12th, and he asked if I could move back to that class and they said only if I wanted MIA or SJU.
