I'm in the May 12th class however I might get bumped to the May 26th one. I'm 21 by 7 months. I guess it'll be early morning sims for me.

lol 7 months!

You still got me by 5 months. 21 as of Feb.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll poke around with some more friends in Chicago to see about the rumor of CRJs closing out, but I'll likely be doing the swap. Sounds like CRJ suxxx.

I work at Eagle in ORD on the EMB and have heard nothing about it.

I heard Skywest is taking over AE's CR7 flying in Chicago.

(j/k. Couldn't resist the urge to start another tasteless rumor.)

Hey, I dislike unfounded rumors as much as the next skeptic. I'm just telling you I have a friend who's going to class on the EMB due to the future closing of the ORD CR7 base.
Also, you might want to be careful starting rumors, as far-fetched and transparently sarcastic as they may be. I can tell you from experience that a few of the mods around here were not gifted with a sense of humor when they were hatched.

Either way it's BS. If they are on the CRJ, they are stuck on it regardless of where it's based. If ORD closes and you're on the CRJ, guess what? You're not getting a new plane, you're moving to DFW.

The only way off the CRJ is to upgrade to captain.

I expected that to be the case, but my friend is under the impression that if ORD closes as a CR7 base he can move over to the 145 instead of taking the displacement to DFW.
Eh, what the heck do I know? I'm just a chicken taco guy.

AE won't send you packing...I can't believe that. I'm sure they'll re-train on the EMB.
