Hate to break this to you, but if SKYW buys us without us first modifying our contract thats exactly what will happen. Which is exactly why posts about the deal being done make no sense. Everyone at XJT will vote before the deal is done. Unless SKYW buys us as the contract stands. ASA didn't have that in their contract.

I have all the education I need brother. At the end of the day, your contract (and mine) isn't worth the paper it is written on. Being here at Comair long enough has taught me that much and that it doesn't take much to have it ripped to shreds. Thanks! At the end of the day, like it or not, corporate America will always win.

Of course....I think most of our industry is interested to see how this plays out, not just because the competitive landscape is changing, but also how (and if) a strong ALPA at a Regional (armed with a well written Scope clause) can leverage huge deal from going through or not.

Have no illusions, a merger will not happen and if the language doesn’t get changed then the purchase will not happen. If the purchase falls through then don't be surprised if you start seeing SKW a/c floating around IAH in CAL colors while being flown by SKW pilots.
