What's a usual day at PDT? 2 to 4 sectors on the EMB?
How long would each flight be? 45 minutes to 2 hours?

That's a lot of 25-35 min flights probably, a lot of up and down.

It seems you are a E145 pilot at PDT, I'm a new hire on the 12/05 class coming from the CRJ 700 at another regional. Could you please give an insight on their training culture? Level of difficulty? They want you to build the airplane on systems or they are practical? Good attitude and effort means they will work with you if you need extra time? Extra sim time have you seen it in training with one of your colleagues from class? I know training is training and if you study you will make it anyways, I'm just trying to have a glimpse on their training culture....any insight would be much appreciated......thank you.....

It seems like every time I ask this question I get a different answer, even from the recruiters! Does anybody know what exactly is the sign on bonus and payment schedule for a 145 type rated, current 121 pilot (300 sic) is? Secondly, what is the FO retention bonus and what is the payment schedule? Thanks!

That is what I was told on my interview on 11/07 and I was offered the 12/05 class for the E145: I have a CL-65 type rating and a CV 440 ( convair ): 20K sign in bonus, 10K after 1 week you start Indoc and the rest after your Check Ride. As far as I know now it is not 20K anymore, they bumped it up a little. I also heard from other people that u get the money first day of indoc, everything, not half and half. But that was my experience during interview. Hope it helps.

First $5k (or $10k for current 121, typed or not typed in the 145 doesn't matter, you'll have to fill out another 8710 for the PDT 145 AQP training program anyway) is paid out on the first paycheck (15th of the month for those starting 12/5).

Second $10k (for everyone) gets paid out at the end of SOE (line ready).

FO retention bonus is $2500 paid out quarterly, max of $20k total (2 years to max, assuming you don't upgrade in that time).

Anyone here from the Nov 7th class that wants to share their training experience in the past 3 weeks on the jet?

Tests, washout rate, instructors, hotel, were u able to go home a couple of weekends? How much "wait at home time" were you given between ground and sims?

Im on the Dec 5th class and would like to have an idea on what to expect and all the good details!
