I've dealt with Eddie several times being that I was at AWAC prior to PDT. I've never had any issues with him. He is very much a company guy and tends to side with the company as opposed to looking at things through a pilots prospective. That being said, AWAC is a great group of pilots, however the company itself never has the pilots best interest in mind they only care about money, just look at what is happening now. So hopefully Piedmont the company will be much more pilot friendly and Eddie won't be looked at like such a villain...so far seems that way. Just my two cents. Take it for what it is worth.

I flew with him during my time at AWAC and he isn't bad. Typical company guy. Just do your job and you won't have any issues with him.

How many planes is PDT really getting? I know AA said 20... but if thats the case and they are retiring the whole dash fleet the whole 5 year flow is going to look a whole lot different when the pilot group is 500+ for 20 airframes.

At least 24 planes January-December 2017. And they want more, not sure if we can handle that. So thats a minimum of 36 so far

It's all dependent on staffing. If we can keep up the hiring pace it'll be more than 20 planes. A lot more.

I talked to a recruiter and they said they could only guarantee 20 and nothing beyond that. How many crews are needed per plane?

Our class (11/7) was told by the head of recruiting, the director of training, and one of our instructors the number is 80. Three separate occasions. That seems to be the general consensus in CLT. Whether it can be staffed.... it will take a while to see.
