Enjoy.

While you are doing that, everyone else will be passing you by.
That "year" (it's certainly not a year, just humoring you and your idiotic posts that you bless us with once a week or so) counts towards your flow. Get paid, get closer to flowing, remain vigilant on the message boards against idiots like you spreading misinformation about competitor airlines to make themselves feel better. Win win, unless you're daOldMan. In which case, I hope you find peace. But not really

Looking at the route map on the company website, does the 145 go to Indianapolis, or the 8?

So, judging from that email, did anyone interpret that as a hint towards displacements?

Found it kinda odd

Incorrect. We have many 145 trips with only 1 or 2 flights on several of the days.

Yes, there are going to be many displacements on this base closure bid. Either your going to phl sby or roa on the dash or phl on the phone 145. Your seniority holds where you will end up.

Anytime a base closes there are displacements. That's not news.

The person that will be the most junior captain 6 months from now has already been hired. The painfully slow training process will allow anyone that is already flying the line to build 1000 SIC and upgrade before anyone that is hired today.
Except it isn't anywhere close to "6-8" months to finish training. I started in November. I'll be done next week. It will be just over a total of three months, including my paid time off. Some finished sooner. No one will be on min guarantee waiting for a year either.

The last vacancy bid was unable to fill all captain slots. Anyone being hired now will have a very quick upgrade compared to just about anywhere else. Anyone with the required 121 time will go to OE and then right back for upgrade.

Are you going to have a little paid time off? Yes. Four to eight weeks. That's it. The only airline that has a 6-8 month footprint right now is CommutAir. Your numbers are very inaccurate.
