It takes 60 days for it to happen at PDT. That's relatively short from what I'm used to. I'm speaking of healthcare, vision, and dental.

Travel bennies are within the first week usually.

Does my cheap healthcare not cover vision, or is that included in one of the programs? Didn't see anything on my cards about vision and was wondering if its only part of a premium plan or something

VBA (Vision Benefits of America). Eye exam and glasses are covered. Discount on contacts. No card, just go to their website and sign in using your SSN and DOB.

Vision isn't on my card either, but it's there. You can check mycoresource.com if you want to be sure.

My understanding is, from anecdotal noise, that Piedmont has some of the BEST healthcare in the industry - even better than the parent - AAG.
I will see when I get to use it... kids....

How easy is it for a new hire to get involved in recruiting, training, safety department, etc? Are these spots rarely available?

Sorry answer... yes.. long answer you have to show initiative. They don't put everyone in those spots, but it's there.

Cannot speak for the Saftey Dept, but training will be doing hiring all year. Bulk of instructors in dash and emb are all 07/08 hires who will all be flowing before November including SOE captains. So if you interested go for it. Think the most jr pilot full time in training is a 2015 hire.
