Also, how long is reserve time realistically? The recruiters told me there are people leaving training and going straight to a line. Is there truth in that, or is that just recruiter rhetoric?

Any one live in Lancaster and take the train? Could it be done on reserve? What are the best places to live if based in PHL. Can PM if needed.

The PSA boards have blown up today about the their president all but making it official that they're getting a DCA base. Recruiters basically said the same about PDT yesterday while noting "nothing is official yet." What's the general consensus here? PSA or PDT to DCA? DCA is a big reason I'm considering PDT.

Just my opinion, but it looks like ENY at LGA, PDT at PHL, and PSA at DCA. Just makes sense since that covers the AWAC bases.

PSA's president said today he they would make an announcement about it in the next couple of weeks. Until then, nothing is official.

I could see PDT in DCA. That ramp is without a doubt the most frustrating in the AA system.

lol, industry trends seem to indicate more flying coming back to the WOs and more regional flying going back to mainline. Despite the fact we fly <50 seat aircraft, i think its safe to say there is a considerable amount of stability to be expected at the WOs. Isom also seems genuinely interested in fixing the issues at PDT/PSA/ENY and cleaning up the mess Kirby created.

DCA will be a PSA base for a multitude of reasons that all make pretty good sense. Many thought that ORD would be the next base because that's where the remaining 700s are being transferred from, but I think AAG wants PSA to focus and grow primarily on the east coast and the CRJ flying in ORD will be done by SkyWest. Also, I don't think they want any of the WO regionals competing for new hires in any one base. It doesn't make sense for PSA and Envoy to share Chicago. And it wouldn't make much sense for PSA and Piedmont to share DCA. I think Piedmont's next base won't be a huge east coast hub, but somewhere like RDU.

Except AA already made it clear they dont want outstation bases. the options really are basically LGA/JFK/ORD/DCA/MIA/BOS/CLT
