Perhaps, got alot of koolaid to drink and lots of small critters to gun down and run over on the quads. 40 bucks for badger skins and 50 for dogs might be busy out on the plains. gotta make my car payment.

Apparently the higher ups are saying they told Mainline they wanted to recall 40, and Mainline shot it down. All things point to them being in a world of financial hurt. So what a better way to remdy it with jr. mans, and ca's flying the right seat.

I could believe that. Especially with this proposed merger between United and Continental. No way on earth US Airways would survive on its own if that happened.

how do you figure? Any consolidation, whether it includes Airways or not would be good for Airways in the long run.

You are also discounting the very LARGE likelihood that the slot swap transaction will get approved on round two. That will significantly enhance US Airways cash position. There are also other factors looming. US Airways suffered the least losses from the ash cloud debacle then any other legacy. I've already read several comments from analysts that believe that a probable staunch drop in oil prices per barrel due to the ash cloud shutdown will bring at least a temporary bounty to all US air carriers.

We must also not forget that unless we see an unlikely double dip recession, the economy is currently growing and slowly climbing its way out of a recession. Now...anything is possible...this after all the airline biz...but the current picture suggests US Airways will be around for quite some time to come without the help of UAL.

US Airways will have to be competing with the new two largest airlines. Delta and Continental/United. Wall Street already believes that if that merger were to go through, US Airways would not last very long. They would not be able to compete unless they too merged with someone. PM me if you really want to know where I got my information. Don't want it getting out on a public forum

From the most ****ed off REp in Union.

When we asked SF to pull back to 85 hours or below, he said, "No we will build them that high every time. Thats is our interpertation of the contract.." Hes absolutely winin the contract. and he refuses to change. Until the law changes or the contract changes, nothing forces him to change his way of doing buiz. There is nothing we can legally do.

Almost had PBS in 2005. All legal work done. Steve said no at the last minute. And w DO have crewtrac web. When PSA went live, mgt had their butts handed to them. PDT demanded we either put a moratorium on greivances or they won't turn on. ALPA said pound sand. So that's why they when they say it doesn't make financial sense. Not the money for crewtrac, but money from grievances.

Also mainline adjusting recalls?? CONFIRMED: Jr man going to explode in June, going to be like 04 every pilot will have a check in msg.

Even if the pilot group bought flica or any of the 5 PBS software options, none of them sell it wout going through the legal part with a lawyer and the neg. team writing out a LOA with the company. We can't get it wout the company's approval. WE ARE SUNK. Those cost about 40-100k. Depends on the product. Best one out there is crewing solutions prebid. Flight line close second, but crewing solution uses something called a non greedy algorthim. Steve hates the idea of giving us control. 14 days off too many.

So since the contract says, "Commencing January 1, 2001, four (4) calendar days per calendar year, no more than three (3) of which may be on days off."

If there is going to be an increased amount of junior mans in June, I wonder if there will be a few additional recalls for late May or something?

I hope so to! I just hope the company doesnt quit recalls cause of the filing of mediation. Lots of good people in limbo.
