Just got finished with the recall training. People down in CLT like CJ and SA are saying what we already know...that they are keeping the recalls light so they don't have to furlough again. Couldn't get much else out of them. AW did come in to tell the class about changes since the furlough and future plans. Apparantly they are dumping a lot of money into getting the TAMDAR system up and running. He said they already have it in 4 or 5 airplanes. He said that this new system will work just like a telephone. Scheduling, dispatch, chief pilot, etc can all call you in the airplane in flight. They are also planning on starting painting again. I will keep my ears open on the line, everyone down in the training department really does want to see everyone back. At least that is what they said. The whole training environment has done a 180 and everyone is really nice and helpful. It is a more relaxed environment rather than a fear for your job environment.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear its a nicer environment down there. Keep us informed brother. Somehow, I'm still waiting patiently. Weird.

I've heard from a few people that Johnny B is telling CQ classes that there is going to be a change in bases and he expects a CLT base this summer. Anyone in these CQ's to hear this?

What would close? EWN and CHO? They can't do ready reserve can they? I guess if we merge into psa we will.

It will be interesting to see what happens once the new psa contract is signed.

Seriously! Why operate a 50 seat dash when you can operate a 50 seat RJ for more money and not to mention paying for the hotel and per diem for the crew.

So, we're gonna have to add Montana charts. Seems we've found a new outfit to do our heavy checks since the place in Quebec went belly up. AvMax Canada out of Great Falls, MT.

Although, it would be a pretty cool flight...

Rumor has it that the lines that just came out have around 900 hrs of open time. Is this true?
