Never seen any exotics around there..I'll be looking for that for sure...And I'm still a little stunned you think the musty dusty Quality Inn as as nice as a Hilton Garden...That honestly blows my mind...I dunno, maybe I'm just more anal retentive over cleanliness in my Hotel rooms than you are..The beds at the HGI's are awesome, HD Flat Screens with HD cable channels, Awesome work out rooms with indoor pool and spa, on site bar, full cook to order breakfast free at two of them, The Quality...not so nice. I hate those thin crappy pillows, LOL. And everytime I have stayed there I always get a room with an HVAC unit that makes more noise then climate controlled air. I also have yet to get a room with a functioning remote control so I can turn on the 20 year old mini TV..

An one more whine while I have the bottle opened..Their coffee SUCKS GIANT ANT NUTS!

Underground Racing - Twin Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo Performance

This is who you are talking about. I had to open my window one evening to listen to the twin-turbo Lambo they had on the dyno.

[QUOTE=DashGirl;930221]* PDT has AQP for our training program. Though AQP is well liked at other companies it is extremely difficult to deal with at PDT. Training here is extremely hard..period..Especially for new hires. The Training Dept. Mgt is very "old school". If you have even a sliver of slacker in you, if you don't have the AJ squared away super jar head POH and FOM robot cyborg mentality you will likely NOT pass initial, and you need to have extremely solid IFR skills already, they will not train you. I am a slacker by nature. I had to make significant adjustments to my mentality to get through initial. It was extremely challenging. Last few new-hire classes before they furloughed had a better than 40% wash out rate. Essentially we do not have a training department. We have an Evaluation department. Everything is basically self study. Your sim sessions will include little actual instruction. It will be endless repeats of..."okay you screwed that up, let's do it again till you get it right, and BTW, if we don't get through everything in the time allotted you fail." We actually have some great instructors. But they are rarely allowed to actually instruct. The PDT AQP program is structured this way intentionally. Trng dept managers believe in instruction via intimidation. They feel if you are not a natural and perfect Dash 8 pilot you don't belong at Piedmont. I have never failed any training event at Piedmont and I still hate going to training. I'd rather be whipped with a bamboo stick then step foot in the training center bldg ever again! Most pilots here feel exactly the same way...Don't misunderstand me, they are not mean or rude. In fact, they are exceptionally professional in their demeanor and even pleasant at times. But they demand a level of consistent performance from you that would even intimidate an Air Force Eagle driver or Navy Super Hornet jock!. It's a very unreasonable environment. Especially for a low-time new-hire.
QUOTE]

Seriously? I would say it is challenging but not hard. You either know it or you don't. If you know what you are doing, you should not have a problem.

Yeah, tell people to steer clear of PDT so that you can continue to not upgrade

You are aware that seniority goes from the top down right? Gosh, all these superpilots at Piedmont. I had no idea I was amongst such Gods of the cockpit. Yes, I must bow down my lowly existence and beg for for the forgiveness of all of you wet behind the ears, silverspooned 20 something generation entitlement junior jet jock wannabees that are so full of yourselves that you wouldn't even hold a door open for another pilot let alone actually dare to grasp the current political situation at the airline. And are so frackin smart the reason for dissuading any new hires from coming here has flown so far above your head it may as well be orbiting Barnard's Star. It's just a massive level of relief for me to know that the junior ranks at this company are far more interested in looking at themselves in the mirror like a stupid Peacock then taking 30 seconds to care about anyone other then yourselves.

Bravo...Well done....Don't come crying to the union when we get

NO NEW CONTRACT!!!!!!!

Dang...good thing this only happens once a month....and yeah, I get seniority goes from top to bottom...but if you tell people not to come to PDT then there will never be any change..thus you will continue to be near the bottom and far away from upgrade. If they were to hire a lot of people they would probably need more upgrades making you closer to upgrade. "Superpilots"?? "Silverspooned 20 something generation entitlement junior jet jock wannabees"??? We get it, you are a girl, you can fly a plane...you dont have to prove anything to us. Not every guy pilot thinks girls don't belong in the cockpit. Let it go...welcome to the 21st century. By the way, women can vote now

There is a pretty big strip club by the clt hotel. I couldn't get my eyes to stop burning from being so tired, otherwise I'd have gone in. Word is that they wear pasties in NC....someone tell me that isn't true!

Wow, just wow..and thank you..You have completely codified my opinion of your total lack of intelligence. You are too stupid to even understand the basics of how the upgrade and seniority system works. BTW genius, that lever on the panel that is shaped like a wheel...yeahhhhh that raises and lowers the landing gear...What the hell does any of this have to do with gender? That's your comeback? Really? I have zero issues with men. I have a husband and two boys..I have a big issue with stupid men, I meant boy, because I'm not accustomed to being around them.
