PDT News and Rumors

What airline doesn't have a political situation, in some way, shape or form? Airlines have different issues, but not everyone has to "grasp" those politics in order to enjoy employment with an airline. Some folks would rather just keep moving along one day at a time, bid a schedule, fly a line, spend some time at home and get paid for a job well done. What do you hope to gain by coming on here with your fearmongering and dire forecasts of doom and gloom for all?

Wow, just wow..and thank you..You have completely codified my opinion of your total lack of intelligence. You are too stupid to even understand the basics of how the upgrade and seniority system works. BTW genius, that lever on the panel that is shaped like a wheel...yeahhhhh that raises and lowers the landing gear...What the hell does any of this have to do with gender? That's your comeback? Really? I have zero issues with men. I have a husband and two boys..I have a big issue with stupid men, I meant boy, because I'm not accustomed to being around them.

. I've heard good things. Also, someone told me that the van drivers can give you a card to get the cover charge waived.....And DashGirl, no offense, but we get it already. You're unhappy at PDT. Welcome to the party. BTW, your statements are a fascinating case study.
I especially wanted to clarify your statement about "the junior ranks " of PDT pilots:
-You stated in an earlier post that you've been at PDT for about 4 years. Therefore, you ARE one of these junior people you speak of. I mean, heck, the most junior of all is what, only 2.5 years right now?
dashtrash300: 'peafowl'? Sweet. I learned a new word today.

Lost,
I think you were with me when we saw that mainline pilot pull into the gentleman's club in uniform. If that doesn't impress the dancers then I don't know what will. How's life at CPZ now?

I suppose when you wear the uniform you ensure that the girls have low expectations as to what you can afford and how well you'll tip... I would probably not advise wearing the uniform if you actually want the girls anywhere near you!

If anyone could make the case for the "generation entitlement", it would probably include your statement about the chance to bid the upgrade. At times in Piedmont's history, the upgrade has happened as soon as the pilot has the required 3000 hours, as in 3 years or less. During other times, the upgrade opportunity did not come along for 7 or 8 years. Nothing screams "entitlement" more than someone opining about an upgrade that can't seem to happen fast enough. Them's the breaks of the airline industry...

Screw you. Our generation is the one that is PAYING for the "greatest generation's" entitlements! We won't see social security, medicare, pensions, and have subsidised your generations lifestyle with our Z-Scale wages - that you imposed upon us. Yea "go get another job if you don't like it".. Its the same thing in every industry across the country, the "entitlement generation" is the title you've given to the kids that are paying YOUR BILLS.
I pay my bills. I live a lifestyle that requires living within my means, on a budget, without subsidy or assistance. You may be correct in your anger towards those who are covering for their shortcomings by taking from the generations that follow. But I assure you that you have incorrectly grouped my opinions on "entitlement" along with an age group or generation to which I do not belong.

Sorry Phuz, that's where you're wrong. I'm not part of the "greatest generation" or the "boomers". I am a Gen Xer, so I too will not see the benefits of social security and medicare that I have paid into them. I will barely have a pension from Piedmont, given that my DOH was prior to the signing of the agreements which prevent new-hires from entering into the pension program. I didn't "impose" wages upon anyone, but I did actively participate in the voting process for the restructuring agreement when faced with bankruptcy and the survival of the company.

What chaps my hide is ANYONE calling my generation the "entitlement" generation. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I suspect that phrase was engineered by people intent on disguising who the true beneficiaries are in our society. I find it moronic when people parat that phrase about thinking that it is standard phrasology. I find it derogatory and symbolic of the lies that have been accepted as facts by the sheep of this country. If we are to be labeled let us choose that label, after all we're paying for it.
