Wow well by the way you keep warning everyone to update their resumes you will probably be doing that anyway so why not go now and beat everyone to ensure a faster upgrade?

So in the speedword published today, on the front page was an article stating we are actually looking seriously at 3 aircraft. 2 300s and 1 100. Bill did a pretty good writeup too with all the work that goes into finding adaquete aircraft, ranging from engines and avionics to interiors. Of course nothing official stating we are receiving these aircraft but it also stated Tempe is behind our search for aircraft.
Just a little positive thinking...

Anyone know the status of the original pref hiring people? I had heard from someone in SBY that airways will honor the hire letters given out in 08.
How many PDT pilots had a hire letter from airways with no class date anyways?

12 pilots were in the pool at airways. They have been told to expect a class date in jan. or feb.

They are allegedly going to honor the people that were hired at the cactus but didn't get to go. The cactus will also be turning on their online application website shortly for everyone.

This is only the beginning of a hiring wave. 2013 has about 180 retirements from both east and west. By 2020 over 2000 pilots will have reached 65 at airways. Get over there while you can because the movement is going to be insane in 2-3 years.

I remember on a crewnews in CLT a while ago somebody asked about that pref. hiring program and the vp of express or something like that said that they saw no reason to discontinue it and that it worked out well for them. I just don't understand why it was even suggested that it might have stopped in the first place.
But aparently, it was a good question since now they're saying that they never had one. But somebody in SBY thought we had the pref. hiring enought to post it on the original FO job posting! (before quickly reposting it with the pref. hiring taken out).
This "ask piedmont" is a joke with all this 'new airplane' and 'preferential hiring' bs, I'm sick of this carrot on a stick routine! It's like asking the ramp workers what Parker's big plans are for the company. These pdt "executives" don't know what is up until mainline tells them. I don't even know what the hell our ceo even does. At least Parker steers his company and makes command decisions and plans out long-term strategy and runs an airline...it seems by the sound of their clueless answers that ours just waits for mainline to give them a new schedule for the next month
