FSU I commuted from salt lake for about 6 months (with a hard line) and I was more exhausted and miserable than I ever had been. There's something about sleeping on the cockpit floor of jetblue that just gets to you. . .On the up-side I got some bad-ass skiing in!

Yeah I think commuting will suck if I get the job.. If its the only offer I get it will be hard to turn it down though. Im kinda hoping Pinnacle pulls through on their email they sent me the other day and they start interviewing again soon.

Hey FSU,

I'm not sure if you have prior 121 experience or not but if you don't you will be much more marketable after passing training and flying on the line. Just keep sending out resumes after you start piedmont.

no 121 experience.. thats why I want to get in on this first bit of hiring. I have a few years of 135 experience and I figure 121 would help the resume a bit... especially after going thru training and such. Its nice piedmont doesnt have a contract.. that way I can get out if I get a call somewhere I wouldnt mind spending a number of years.

Just heard that some mainline guys went into JK office and said that the Piedmont guys are doing horrible in class and the PSA guys are doing great. Apparently the Piedmont guys can't work an FMS worth s h it and the mainline guys are ****ed. Guess there goes any chance of any Piedmont guys getting hired at mainline. This place just got a little more sucky.

I'm calling BS on this hearsay, I don't know who has gone over to Mainline, but programing and FMS can be taught to a monkey... At least if the FMS takes a dump, the PDT guys will be able to plan crossing restrictions in their head, and enter a hold without being told how to do it.

Maybe someone overheard a conversation and is playing telephone until this rumor got blown out of proportion.

Just what I heard...whoever was teaching ground school came in and said they were just in JK office asking what is going on. Hopefully the next batch doesn't mess it up. Does anyone have any idea on how many are going and when? I have heard there are someone PDT guys leaving later this month.

No Psa pilots have left for mainline yet. We have no one in training there.

Thanks for correcting! My mistake. Hopefully the PDT pilots having trouble is also wrong...we shall see how this plays out.

Assumption: They are talking about the recalls who are going through training right now. A significant number of those recalled are the guys who were hired 3 years ago (under the Pref hiring agreement) from PDT and PSA who got on line and shortly there after were furloughed. They are not talking about any of the "pref hiring poolies". Those guys are still at PDT and PSA waiting.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
