QOL depends completely on which base you are in. Yes, we have guys hired back in late 2007 still on reserve and have never held a line. However, in some bases those guys would have held a line prior to the furlough. For example, I was on straight reserve in my base because it had a lot of senior people in it. If I had gone to SBY, I would have held a line from day one. As for me, PDT has not been that bad. Progression has been slower that I wanted but like others have said, I have gotten amazing experience. You really can't commute especially from ABQ to sit 6 day reserve stretches with only 2 days off.

well guys its official.. got the interview invite today.. gave me the 19th or the 26th for dates.
Thanks for all your replies. I guess I will go and see how it is and make a decision later on. To throw another wrench into the mix I got an email from a hr lady at Pinnacle yesterday and she carbon copied me saying that "Will you please get in touch with Ian!"; she was sending the email to Laurie something. Take that for what its worth.. havent heard anything yet. And for another wrench... my current freight company just offered me a full time job starting in a month. Yay! But.... my heart lies in the airline industry.. (im not sure why ) plus in the long run it will be better for my family situation and career.
The only thing that stinks is that currently I cant move, but I will be able to eventually. Hopefully LGA stays open for awhile; its seems the most commutable out of Albuquerque.

Congrats, and good luck.
When you get back make sure to post up all the juicy information you get from your time there, especially the delivery schedule for the Q400s.
But more seriously more like numbers how many are coming back, and how many they plan on hiring and bringing back now, and in the spring etc. if you hear anythign about it.

For what ever it's worth and I admit it's not worth much.
JB came to talk to my CQ class. I asked if LGA is back on the chopping block now that we are losing flying to mesaba. He said that they (should) only close it if the delta gate swap is approved.
