Piedmont blows. Plain and simple.
Why start off in props when you can go right to glass? It's just one big X-Box.
Do yourself a favor and start somewhere else. The other regionals are dying for pilot recruits.
JK the director of training and his henchmen are still dirtballs who care little about you and the potential damage they may inflict on your career.

So if you left piedmont where did you go to blaze a trail on your career? You must be at United? Delta? American? JetBlue?? LOL, I don't think you're at any of those because if you were you wouldn't post garbage about Piedmont. So I'm guessing you left Piedmont in early 2000 for another 'Jet' regional. You finally upgraded on a nice shiny Jet but can't get hired by anyone. So you go to all the Job Fairs looking for a job at Alligiant, Frontier and a few others that are looking hard. But for some reason none of them want you. So now you've built up too much worthless PIC RJ time that's a dime a dozen these days. hahahahahahaha Had you stayed at Piedmont you'd be flowing to American by the end of 2016.
Yes, I'd be pretty mad at my choices also if I were you.
Keep blazing around in that RJ and racking up PIC time. Just remember you're a Survivor

As for props vs jets: I went from a 180ktTAS twin prop (OV-10) to a Mach 2 jet (F-111) and did fine; your brain will speed up no problem, and you will still have time with autothrottles and autopilot engaged to tell your "prop stories".

That's crap. Military pilots lack the real world experience that the rest of us have. Their CRM is lacking (especially with fighter pilots).
Military pilots have a sense of entitlement that because they flew for the service, they should get in front of us. Just because you let someone tell you do for many years doesn't make you a genius. In fact, if you look at the average military pilot's log book, you'll find that they have about 10% of the time the rest of us have.
F--k them.

Things are not always what they seem...
For example, consider the following copy from the Endeavor website:
>>Pilots hired at Endeavor under the EtD Commitment will, upon becoming and remaining eligible under the provisions of the Endeavor-to-Delta Pilot Hiring and Commitment Program document, be hired as Delta pilots. As an EtD Commitment pilot, you will not be required to re-interview with Delta as your selection and screening by Endeavor and demonstrated performance thereafter will serve as your ticket to Delta. <<
"and demonstrted performance thereafter..."
What does that mean? Be good little boys and girls (don't make waves and/or stand up for your rights), and we'll put a word in for you at Delta.
There is NO GUARANTEE that you will get a Delta job if you work for Endeavor. NONE. What Endeavor is, is a litmus test to see if you are submissive enough to suck up at Delta later on.
What if you end up in the sim with some jerk and he or she puts an unsat on your PRIA record because he or she had a bad day? Bye, bye Delta.
All Endeavor is, is one big checkride.
Beware.

Yes, he's got issues for sure. I've flown with many military pilots and there no different then anyone else. As a FO we had many guys that retired as F-4, KC-10, F-18 and came to Piedmont. They enjoyed a military retirement and we're some great guys and Captains at Piedmont. I loved flying with them and actually one of them requested I fly with him on his last flight before he retired which was a privilege to me.
Then as a Captain I had FO's that were F-15, Harrier and C-130 Pilots and again no problem. Can some of them be cocky?? Sure, but so can regular pilots so what's the difference?
Bottom line is we are both in the Cockpit to cover each others butts and get the mission done and get home. That's it! Could you imagine sharing the Cockpit with that guy for a 4 day trip???? LOL
