If people would stop doing stupid things like this, you would all be paid more and would all benefit as a result.
They won't raise your pay across the board if they don't have to. Let them cancel flights. It is their fault that this is happening, why are you bailing them out?

You do realize that these actions undermine the entire regional airline group, don't you?

Piedmont folks cashing in triple pay might be like Ho'ing it but damn that's high dollar ho'ing it. Friend of mine was making 1,000 dollars a day to do a 4 day trip. Not bad at all.

Meh, I disagree. The best way to prove the point is to make them pay up big time right now Follow the money. They already know there is a problem when Dash 8 and E145 pilots are being paid like some of their mainline Airbus and E190 pilots. The fact that we are cashing out just confirms that if they won't pay more at the outset contractually, they will indeed pay much more in the end to run the operation. I was just assigned another trip from the kitty...flying right seat no less! Time to collect again...

Haha, I was this way after being abused at Colgan.... I was the most senior at my base so I bid a line that literally was Monday and Tuesday the first week then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (reserve) the next week and repeat. It was literally one up and back from CHO to LGA then back and done for the day. Repo both ways to HEF, so the commute was from my house to HEF which is 4 miles... It was GREAT!!!! I was home a lot and still able to make ends meet, so I was happy!

There is zero shame is working the system. My favorite thing to do was work all my days off and time out, then sit at home while on reserve. 150% pay above guarantee and still had 15+ days off at home. Averaged 150 credit a month, that's decent money.
I would much rather be understaffed than overstaffed, you can get away with murder. Put in requests to fly an open trip tomorrow but drop your next trip with pay, etc. Scheduling only cares about getting things staffed today, not next week, they will deal with that later.
Invest the extra money, pay down debt, etc. Don't go out and buy new toys. Not yet. That is your get out of jail free money. There will be plenty of time to bid minimum credit in your careers. Think long term, not short term. Yeah, it's sweet to play Xbox all day right now, but what about in 10 years? Wouldn't it be nice to have a paid off house, cars, boat, and half a mil in the bank as FU money? That's when you can chill and work for min guarantee.
