You are 100 percent correct. If you are on property as of the expiration of the agreement then you will flow.

I've been hearing, "the flow increase is only a couple months away" since last Spring. This is why the PDT flow projection is a joke. It's accurate for the senior guys close to flowing, but the numbers aren't increasing as fast as predicted. For guys getting hired right now, there's actually no guarantee they will flow before the 10 year contract with AA is up.

So you got your PIC time and didn't get Hired at Delta? Didn't get hired at United? Didn't get hired at SouthWest? Guess you'll have to pull American Airlines card out of your back pocket because guess what? You'll be an American Airlines Pilot. Kinda of a great option to have if you ask me.
Sure there's maybe a few better Regionals but right now the Majors are hiring. Faster the better.

Pilots leaving to other airlines will shrink the seniority list too, so the trigger for the flow increase is harder to meet. I'm sure y'all have noticed by now, newhires are hard to find.
I'm not saying there's nothing good about PDT. I'm pointing out the error in your flow calculations. Basing your flow projections off doubling or tripling in size or attrition that may actually hurt the flow is disingenuous.
