I don't see it.. It's so inefficient to have mdt as a base.. Especially with how big they are trying to go this thing... But time will only tell.. I see Lga and dca.. But that's just me..

Doubtful, especially with PHL being close by. MDT was originally only going to support her MX through the first 4 deliveries. It will continue as a Dash base as the wind down proceeds. RIC is a probable MX base, but I don't think you'll ever see another outstation crew base...doesn't make sense, harder to recruit, etc...

Hogg has been telling many people PDT will not open another outstation base. Additionally, our flying will be concentrated in PHL. The company will consider opening a new base as we grow and expand our route structure but there isn't a need for it at the moment.

I predict the outstation bases to be closed as the dashes retire and we'll primarily serve PHL and ???, but thats just a WAG.

Believe me PHL won't be the only base. If you're looking at 60 ERJ's there will be atleast 3-4 bases at the least.

The number of aircraft doesn't necessarily correspond to how many bases...ENY has like 150 aircraft or so and only has two bases. I'm not saying PDT won't have 3-4, but just because there are going to be 60 ERJs doesn't make a certain base structure a given.

In what universe will PDT have enough pilots to staff 60 ERJ's?!?!

I know PHL won't be the only base because with FOS being completed I think PHL might be downsizing some. I see PDT in other places in the future.

But like Old said, it's if they can staff the planes.

It is certainly in AAGs best interest to staff their wholly owned as necessary...whether or not they'll be able to do it is the million dollar question......!

60 ERJs is about 600 pilots. We are nearing 500 pilots now. It will mean an early end to the dash fleet but it is certainly attainable. 60 airplanes is still growth, and I wouldn't be surprised to see 80+ in the end.

I would think that you would prefer to see regionals shrinking with more flying being done by mainline, but I guess not. Enjoy flying your 50 seat jets.
