Piedmont has announced nothing, and our union has been silent on the matter. I completely understand the whole "benefit the entire pilot group argument", but let's not forget that FOs are only on a 4 year pay scale which, under the proposed plan, tops out at ~$40/hr. Captain pay in the jet tops out at $87 on a 12-year scale.

I'm also operating under the assumption that current FOs would not be eligible for the retention bonus since our union (smartly) turned down the retention bonus earlier this year /s.

All I can say is I'm glad you guys aren't running our MEC. We have a lot leverage right now, why waste it on a bonus that only benefits some.

To put EFB as a Negative is little short sighted IMO. Eventually we are getting them, its in the FAA approval phase.

It would be a step back for me, therefore a negative on my personal pro/con list. Not a big deal since its on the way..

I don't really blame you, it's hard to go backward. I guess I'm just little tired of new FO that haven't been in the industry more than a year and complaining about this and that.

We truly in a different time now, it's a good a time for being a pilot now.

we have no leverage. we take what they offer or we get nothing.... 7600$ for captains is fair. quick upgrades and flow beats any other non WO. Remember this is a stepping stone. Senior pilots can flow to greener pastures ($) at AA if they dont like it. All we need to do is get FOs in the door so our flow goes up. I could care less if FOs and CAs made the same salary.

Preach it brother! This MEC is only interested in the senior group who isn't flowing...like they need more money. if we didn't take this deal when the others did I want anarchy to reign and they all need to ****ing go!

this. freaking get the money. outside of the CBA.., take it. theyll be back to negotiate later. if we dont take it...be honest with yourself....we'll still be here waiting on flow or to get called.
