So i've read the email from the union regarding the pay increase for all WO's. I still do not understand what he was trying to say beside nagging about being the last one to know about the deal? Is there going to be a pay increase or not?

its ridiculous. just approve the damn thing. if not we need to seriously consider recall.

Agreed. Whether they were informed or not it's too late to be a dick about the details as the other two already took the bait. Now we are at a disadvantage, and I don't need a 3 page letter of babbling to tell us why. If the other 2 MECs and company can't reach out to him/them there has to be a good reason...

What he didn't address in his hysterical rant is if the company will be returning to continue negotiations. Will they?

agreed. MEC chair is to vote in the interest of the pilot group. we want this. so approve it. Im sick of the ALPA bs here. the union has jammed us up twice now. it needs to change. the majority of pilots here want this.

The point of his letter was that the offer was presented to them informally which does not follow the ALPA policy manual. It's was basically Lyle just calling Bruce and asking him to agree to the PSA like deal over the phone. You don't just accept an offer without getting the details first. It should have been presented to the MEC as a formal proposal. Instead it sounds like PDT mgt botched it (no surprise) and AAG wasn't on top of the situation. A deal is still in the works, it's just going take way longer than it should have because the process wasn't initiated properly. This is PDT mgmt SOPs though, look at the iPad program and every other thing, amazingly though everyone keeps their job.

Nice work he's done. Will be interesting to see the fallout and lack of new hires when the other two raised pay so much.
