It looks like Piedmont is being very competitive. It appears from my research there is some good money that can be made here with the 12-13 month upgrade along with a competitive new hire FO pay. How commutable is PTD truly? My app is locked and loaded and I plan on shooting it off in the next few days.

Upgrade time, premium pay, and flow time we blow them out of the water. Their SAP, however, allows their pilots to get significantly more days off than we get here.
That being said, i've been pretty happy with my decision to come here. I'm cautiously optimistic Hogg knows our schedules are too demanding and will work on increasing productivity and days off.

DFW would be relatively ez to commute. Nashville will be as well, just most of those flights are on 50 seat crjs. With the philly base you'll be good to go.
If you can get in, get in now. It's a gravy train now but it can't last forever. Get in front of the others. I'm Doerr if that sounds kool-aid ish.

I dont think we actually get more days off than PSA.

New hires choosing ANY regional airline right now should do so with the thought that they may have to spend 3 - 4 years there in the right seat. Because the reality is that by the time a new hire is eligible for upgrade, 2 years will have passed and the entire industry will look different in many ways.

Positive space. As a new hire I believe you have to have 4 or more days off between training events to get it. When you upgrade, transition, or go for recurrent it's positive space for even a 1-2 day break. You can still non-rev for shorter breaks in training as a new hire.

I'm pretty sure 25 is acceptable. You can count up to 25 hours in the SIM towards the 50 required. Also, for all the folks close to 1500, 1000, etc...don't forget you can count up to 100 hours of Part 141 or 142 SIM time towards the requirement.
