I definitely understand the difficulty that is switching from a jet to a turbo-prop, but I would encourage you to not let it deter you. First and foremost seniority is king. If you can get on sooner than later the potential difference in a flow to AA from just one month can mean 3-6 months plus. Not to mention holding lines in domicile or even holding a domicile that you'd want.
Also, I can say the Dash is one of the most satisfying planes I've ever flown. It does have it's downsides (Primarily heat in the summer) but when you nail a good landing, you earned it. Not having a trailing link gear means it is very unforgiving in terms of nailing a "Soft" landing. Also, it's lack of sophisticated automation means it will sharpen your flying skills.
I hope it all works out for you and I hope you join the Piedmont family!
