Quote: I have a interview Thursday and wouldn't take a class date until Oct. Also I have a CJO at 9E. I know it's petty but I have been in a jet for 2 years and I am not sure how I feel about the dash.

I definitely understand the difficulty that is switching from a jet to a turbo-prop, but I would encourage you to not let it deter you. First and foremost seniority is king. If you can get on sooner than later the potential difference in a flow to AA from just one month can mean 3-6 months plus. Not to mention holding lines in domicile or even holding a domicile that you'd want.

Also, I can say the Dash is one of the most satisfying planes I've ever flown. It does have it's downsides (Primarily heat in the summer) but when you nail a good landing, you earned it. Not having a trailing link gear means it is very unforgiving in terms of nailing a "Soft" landing. Also, it's lack of sophisticated automation means it will sharpen your flying skills.

I hope it all works out for you and I hope you join the Piedmont family!

Big ****ing Deal

Don't worry about him. Buddies is an Envoy pilot who likes to interject his misery into our PDT discussions. These times are a BFD for us, as we are transitioning to jet aircraft and growing.

It's not drinking the Kool-Aid if you actually enjoy it where you are working. I don't get caught up in the seniority aspect of things. You could play out a hundred different scenarios to argue that. Does PDT have its share of issues? Sure, only a fool would deny that too. Is it nice to be part of a smaller airline that is more akin to a family than a company? Yes it is, and it IS a BFD. If that is drinking the Kool-Aid I'll have a pitcher. Throw some rum in it too, I'm off today

Watched a Dash crew yesterday get tired of waiting for marshalers to park them in CLT, and just parked themselves. It was hilarious. They just pulled in, shut it down, and kicked the door open.

The ramp manager was VERY upset with them, to say the least.
