[QUOTE=TurbineTime;2180494]You are getting some really bad info from someone. RJET hasn't lost anywhere near 40 a month since the contract was ratified. Also, the 170's are coming back. Already on the schedule for revenue flights in November.

I can put the TU-95 Bear on the schedule for that matter. Doesn't mean it will actually fly it when the time comes. It's amazing that the real bad info in this thread comes from clueless outsiders. Go Around!

The Company is negotiating an amendment to its contractual relationship with Republic which as currently proposed contemplates further reduction of aircraft operated by Republic on behalf of the Company...The Company has taken various actions to mitigate the effects of this reduction in flying, including by adjusting its mainline schedule and seeking additional capacity from its wholly owned regional subsidiaries and other regional providers."

I'm well aware of this update, but what's being said there and what's happening in the real operational world are two different things. Everything is fluid in the current situation. Until a final amended CPA is announced cutting RJET flying, that update holds no water. Look at the AA schedules for November, you'll find the 170's there. Look at the extension of leases on the 170's filed just this week. Look at Envoys ORD 175 base being shutdown before it ever existed. I'd say none of these events give that update any credence.

Yet for some reason, the aircraft in question had their lease extensions approved by the BK judge over the last week. And in Rome, NY the 170 fleet is being readied for its return to service. I'm sure this is all just a coincidence.

Pdt, awac, rjet, psa, envoy, what ever a@@bag airline, no one can cover the lift for American that is required at current staffing levels and mediocre pay.. Further making low level scum pilots like us harder to find is the massive hiring jblue, frontier and spirit have, with emphasis on the last two. Unfortunately many awac FO's are coming our way along with many... Many... Many FO's from rjet and express jet. Mostly 1 or 2 year FO's coming here to be a captain and not wait for the upgrade.

Now someone get me a cold beer.

Perhaps this was part of AAGs master plan... Staff the WOs with qualified pilots from stagnant regionals to feed the stream of pilots via the flow...

Frontier and Spirit may be throwing a wrench in it as they offer qualified FOs direct entry without TPIC. If Frontier opens a PHL base as they're rumoring staffing issues will become more difficult as competition for pilots increases.

It wouldn't surprise me if there's another bump in the bonus here soon as the ULCCs pull potential lateral moves away from the WOs.

Kind of off topic, but have any new hires brought a resume with them to the interview? Are they even necessary anymore?

I had emailed mine in on request of the recruiter before I went to interview. Still took one with me, but all they wanted to see was my logbooks. Once they realized I was ATP, they stopped looking at those to.

Yes, you're going to see Frontier, Spirit, and Alligiant pluking RJ drivers without PIC time. Mainly because they know they'll have them longer because those with PIC time will be looking at going to one of the big 4 airlines.

Grab the popcorn it's going to be fun to watch. Pilot are a hot ticket item now.
