They can stop it at any time. It will go to arbitration, but that can last for 2 years or more. The arbitrator will eventually find in favor of the pilots, but then the company will offer a settlement.

Look at the history of Airways management and how they do things.

There are absolutely no guarantees.
Of course there's no guarantees ever. However I can guarantee you if the flow were to stop then so would people coming to their WO's. That's not what they want anytime soon however.

rumor from HR/training is that they are losing 7/mo attrition and 3 soon 4/mo flow. first sep class will be the 4 trigger. so yes people are still leaving w/o flow. six people in newest class. this is every two weeks. they're covering attrition and barely growing.

messenger only.

I'm shooting the messenger as that's not the case. Maybe 5 per month with the flow included. There are a few rumor making lightweights that need to be shown the door. They know who they are. There will be 15 plus per month in class when new hires can go into the jet come fall.

Yup.. We are losing some captains and fos right now to other airlines, there are a lot of new hires coming. That being said there was a major change in the e145 training program this week which was needed.

Things are turning around here and I've been most critical of this place. I don't see the dash schedules getting easier as we draw down in earnest but dam there are a lot of people making serious money.. Serious money.. Like crazy rediculous money.

Overly optimistic flow numbers based on a pilot group size that has yet to be attained.

So American can't stop the flow, but if there's a downturn and they stop hiring, the flow is also halted? Would they take double the flow to catch up? Can Piedmont flow more than required to AA?

With the retirements over here at Mainline the next 10 years I can't ever see any new hiring with us causing the Flow to be halted.

Actually they are starting to make changes at Piedmont. It was rumored about 6 months ago and it looks like it's happening. Training Dept is become more and more a mirror of American. They basically want it to become a seamless transition into American from Piedmont. They already seen an increase in class sizes so I really think it's getting ready to go full swing since they can now start hiring right into the jet with Street Captain also.

Going to interesting but looks like they are starting finally to do all the right things. Plus now I've heard they have access to more 145 simulators.

Default Flow

I had asked a recruiter for a link or copy of the flow contract and they didn't have one on hand. Any chance someone could put the contract language out there so we can know what the facts are?
