Hint! Airlines will step over a dollar to pick up a quarter.

I have the contract right in front of me. I just left that place. I have the new TA (with revisions) and the one they using now. All bets are not off. There is absolutely no guarantee that contract will pass, and as far as the differences from this new TA to the current contract I would argue that it's even more restricted than the current one in that area. That's exactly why we waited so long for a contract there. The language was changed (with comments) to keep the very thing you speak of from happening. A lot of the pilot group there and my friends there will not vote yes so that in chap 11 they don't get hosed. Anyways it doesn't matter anyways. Let it burn. I am not opposed to flying the plane again. It would be great if we got some but I don't really see that happening before any of us leave for American. My only point I guess was why the fascination with the 170? At the end of the day it's just a plane and flies just like the dash.... Granted it's fun at first but after a month it kinda wears off.

Once you've been in the biz for awhile and get the airplane nerd out of your system there's only 2 things that matter to a pilot.
1. money in the bank
2. Nights at home with the family

I haven't seen your language. IF they tried to move an aircraft off the property how many pilots would have to go with it?

Well that's the thing.... I seriously doubt that will ever happen or even get to that point. I seriously believe that management there looks forward to chap 11. They could get rid of the 145s and the delta contract, have an all 170 fleet liked they planned and IF this contract passes they can get some relief on the pilot pay( it seriously could be just a marketing ploy to get pilots to go there in mass then pull a stick an move). Alot of outsiders don't realize how well RAH does even when things are bad. Sure they have lost some profit but they are still very much making money with the 170s. The fleet they have now and the pilots they have now are MORE than enough to staff all the 170 minus the 145s and Q400s..... They do not need to grow, they don't need more business. They are very much sustainable with just the 170 operation. They want to downsize. They make much more money that way and Bedford keeps the model he pretty much created in this new pilot shortage. RAH Management maybe as$&@"'s but they are not stupid. I wouldn't even be surprised that if they do go to chap 11 they won't already have the gameplay all ready to go for the judge waiting for his blessing as they play a round of golf.... But yes... If the situation is that they lease aircraft to envoy/Piedmont, whoever the RAH pilots will do the flying. it won't ever happen tho. Even if they sale the planes to anyone (which they wouldn't) the union has a vested interest and a say about it. In a nutshell that's what the contract says. Now us getting the newer 145s from Shuttle America could def be a possibility in a sale transaction to AA. That would be more likely, but I doubt Delta would let that happen or buy them for themselves( even tho they would never use them, but to keep AA from getting them I could see them doing something like that.) That's why pilots are leaving. We are not pawns to be treated like crap, paid poorly, worked hard and unappreciated. QOL trumps everything. No matter what you do, the union does they will win. They do not see you as a human being. Just a pawn to make them money. I don't like starting rumors or saying anything for sure. Because I don't know anything. None of us do. That's just my two cents. Enough posting today. Sorry guys.

I already love Piedmont. This place is light years better than my other experiences. I am excited to be here. I would love to work hard for a company like this. They treat us well, pay us well, and as far as I can tell management takes good care of us. Heck our own CEO is a Pilot. This is the place I should have always came too. We all have a lot to look forward too. That's what's important. Envoy too. PSA too. We are all apart of the same team. I just think Piedmont has it a little better because our size. Plus it's Piedmont! It doesn't matter what happens in my eyes. I am just happy to be here. Because I've seen the other side. This place is awesome. I feel proud to be apart of this organization and there are some damn good people here. It doesn't matter what they fly.

So that when Envoy steps out of line, AAG can blackmail them into more concessions by transferring their aircraft to PDT. Seems like a likely and predictable play. Still not sure where they would get the aircraft to start, but 175's at PDT would work nicely for AAG and be terrible for envoy.
