PDT News and Rumors

I honestly wish AWAC pilots the best, it's just not looking great right now. It's clear Parker wants to move away from contract flying because of its inflexibility during tough times. AWAC's only saving grace may be the fact that the wholly owned carriers won't be able to staff up in time or at all.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Parker has on record with other WO unions saying retention bonus are the last thing he will do to hey pilots to stay or come. So not happening anytime soon.

No it's not and everything in the regionals can be rumored. All I will say VA is Piedmont isn't going to be what it was 2 years ago. Great opportunities lie ahead for new hires.
Just pick your poison and go with it.

Once the hub base(s) are announced, they need to gauge that effect on recruitment. If that, combined with jet aircraft and a flow, isn't attractive enough to bring more people in the door, you will see them pony up. Signing bonus will increase and retention bonuses at that point very likely to at least bring folks in from other regionals and sectors.

Question about the payscale. On the APC profile, it says that new hire pilots are paid $27.82/hr @75hr guarantee during training.
After completing training, pay increases to the $31/hr year 1 pay shown on the pay scale?

Bad payscale. It's 28.87 now for your entire first year. Then 31 something year 2
