Thanks for the info I'm not against getting two type ratings in the end just started thinking there might have been changes I was unaware of

We have ~450 pilots between PHL and DCA. That doesn't necessarily translate to a one-for-one replacement because, as you well know, the flying we Express operators get from PHX, or I guess DF'inW now, once thrown through the optimizing software, can skew the numbers up or down. With those numbers, though, I doubt it will happen overnight, or in a few months. (Maybe more like as long as it takes to run out AWAC's extension through 2018?)

Also, we haven't seen much integration of Express and Eagle operations yet, and I'm sure all of us will see more change as that part of Dougie's Empire gets rolled into one big, happy... ah, fill in the blank.

Some 300's have poor man's EFIS. Planes will be gone soon but Don't worry you'll get plenty with the ERJ's

So now with the 145's going to PHL I have a decision to make... I live in Virginia and do not wish to commute... Legacy airline captains (all from AA and UAL) continue to tell me to go where I can get advanced jet PIC asap, and to not worry about flow....

So here is the debacle... Go to PDT with a drivable CHO base and stick it out with the Dash and hope it doesn't hinder me from places like UAL or DA... or Go to TSA and get the jet time (IAD base, also drivable) but risk throwing the flow to AA away.

Is there any merit at all to the notion that the jet time is better than t-prop? Also, if the flow is so critical to AA, why am I told consistently by the legacy pilots not to worry about it (mostly, their reasoning is that they do not think AA will be able to solely hire from WO's with the amount of pilots they will need)?

This is a tough decision, just trying to cover all my bases. Both companies sound like good places to be. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
