Default Help

Alright guys,

Completely aware PHL is opening and there are a couple of bases that will be closing. Now my question is how much longer do we expect the dash 8's to be around? I know they are expected to phase out down the road. I am starting class very shortly and want to kinda know what I should be expecting or hoping to do within the company. Any insight from you guys would help.

In the office last week and talked to a couple Union and company guys including Lyle Hogg our new prez... At least 2020 for the ones that won't be hitting 80k cycles in 2017. Also the new president said after the initial 20 jets, more will keep coming as long as we can staff them.

Plan is to double in size so 70ish planes total for now....

You mean staffing is the new currency; and whomever has the pilots will get the planes/flying....

Hummmm, wonder where I heard that before.....

Yourself. Do you practice saying that in the mirror ?

Me thinks so.

Look Mason, we all know you consider yourself a legend in your own mind, but that phrase is simply a discription of what we all know (or should) about the PRESENT state of the regional industry which is just in a transitional phase. The regional with supposed staffing today can easily be on the skids in a year. You didn't invent the present regional reality, nor are you responsible for todays descriptive "flavor of the week".

Actually It's been very much the opposite until very recently.

Getting jets attracted new hires. It's what PSA was doing but already began reducing class sizes before running into CA staffing issues. It's what TSA and CPZ did to attract new hires. They used planes and upgrades to attract pilots. That isn't working as well currently as it had been. It's slowing.

Now managements are starting to say we'll give you as much flying as you can staff instead.

It's a big change, and it's not one that you called; I did, months before the likes of you ever even realized it.

You're a Johnny come lately with nothing to offer except your hatred of anything Envoy. You have no real information or insight so you can't do anything except attack those that do.

Back on ignore.

Yes, crawl back under your rock. It's what you do best and a major reason why NY pilots have gotten more then their fair share of the short end of the stick for the last 6-12 months. Regionals have been playing each other in that game for decades including back at Eagle in the 90's while I was a captain and you were still writing parking tickets. You're the Mason come lately thinking this is something new and you invented it.

Why, I hear you can't even snooker many of your own fellow Envoy pilots anymore with your pathetic B.S. and I hear they're gutting you over on EL on an almost daily basis and yet you still continue your tap dance.

So is there any talk about direct entry CA slots? Does anyone think that'll happen? Timeframe?
