The hotels are on the lower end, there is two nice ones one in Islip the other in Augusta. The rest over more of the no name run down kind

Out of curiosity, about how many hours a year do PDT pilots average? With the shorter routes of a DHC-8, thought they might not fly as much as their jet counterparts.

i would say around 90 hours a month, with the much shorter hops you only get min days off and short overnights. plan on only 11 days off and commuting on your few days off. until they make hub bases and have much more pilots here, I don't see that changing.

I wouldn't say that's entirely accurate. Nearly all of our hotels are of at least average quality with a few really nice ones and a couple of stinkers mixed in. I can't think of many that aren't a nationally branded hotel. One that isn't, FLO, is actually a really nice hotel. All the Hilton brand Hotels are pretty nice- Doubletree, Homewood Suites, Hilton Garden, Hampton, etc.

The hotels really are quite decent compared to what some other regionals get. If the hotel has too many issues and negative crew feedback they will find a replacement.

Looks like PST has one of the best contracts and good crew. Maybe commuting to these smaller airports is problematic for many?

It's a pain but people do it. We're hoping the new commuter policy will change that but we won't know for a couple weeks

Does anyone know when the next training classes are scheduled? Are they doing one per month type of thing? Or one per quarter considering they are a smaller regional. Just trying to figure out an approximate timeline if I apply in July. Thanks guys/gals!
