Those numbers work if we are able to find that many pilots (very shallow pool available) and AA keeps hiring (anything could happen). I believe it is as advertised, but would assume 5-7 years from today for flow. In the meanwhile you will upgrade relatively quickly and have the option to apply elsewhere If you want.

Has the company announced which base(s) are going to be used for the jets?

Plan on DCA and/or PHL as the best bets. Nothing announced yet however...should be soon.

I just submitted my application to PDT. I hope to get an interview invitation soon. I went on aviationinterview but there were just a couple recent posts. Seems like there is a written exam followed by tech interview. I would really appreciate if someone can tell me more about the interview process and if the questions have been changed. Generally what to expect. Thank you very much in advance

If it is such high yield, why is AA pulling out?

4300' runway. When the Dash goes away, so does HXD. Can't do it with the RJ (either flavor, Canadian or Brazilian) without being weight restricted, and probably enough that it won't be the cash cow to AA any more.

KEYW with the -200 (4800' runway) was weight restricted. Imagine what 500' less of pavement does.

If ya can't get the pax there along with their golf clubs...

Then add the trees! Then add the fact the airport in cut into a small field which can my the winds pretty tricky. Makes for a bunch of stick and rudder movements for sure.
If you see the inlet has white caps getting ready for a fun ride. Now they the runway isn't 74' feet wide anymore it's much less of a challenge then it used to be.

The referral bonus is now 5K and can still be assigned before your interview date..

The interview is easy. ground School is manageable. Sims demanding.

But flying the Dash, Fun!

Would you happen to know if new hires would be allowed to move onto 145s when it comes? Or would there is a wait list after willing senior pilots get to go first?

And IF was allowed to go onto 145, would the estimated upgrade time of less than 2 years be reset?
