With the ERJ's coming they will be be running tons of classes. Remember we are getting additional planes plus AAG has to take an avg. of 3-4 a month for the flow.

At least 1/month. That will almost certainly increase in the months leading up to the deliveries

Are the new hires these days mostly with previous 121 experience or brand new ATPs?
How many usually show up for the class?

Most are previous 121/135 that I've flown with. But last couple were actually new ATP guys.

Default Schedule's

Would any body be willing to share what their schedule might be like? In terms of, do you get any 3-4 day blocks of time off? How many days do you typically work in a row? I understand the bidding process and line holding, just curious how PDT's actual pilots live an average month. As well as what their prediction for a new hire's would be as well?

You'll have to forgive my ignorance, I'm a prior helicopter guy making the switch to airlines and I haven't been as plugged into daily airline life in the past. Now I'm playing catch up.

I'm looking at commuting in all the way from Colorado for the first six months to a year. Unfortunate yes, but is it possible?

Might I add one more question plz

Which base(s) would be easier (or least brutal) to commute to? I was thinking EWN but it seems that there are more flight options to CHO

Commuting can be a challenge. EWN flights are full all of the time, even the JumpSeat gets competitive. ROA has other airlines that serve it, including FedEx. For MDT, you can always even take the train from PHL. I don't have any opinions or experiences to share about CHO/SBY.

CHO has several airlines that also serve it and FedEx and UPS also fly into MDT. For SBY you can take a shuttle from BWI I believe if needed. As long as you keep your options open it is very doable in most bases.
