They fail pilots in initial, CQ and upgrade at the drop of a hat for absurd reasons not because they are evil or really even care about you one way or the other, i.e. Mr. T.O. But because they are so utterly paranoid at getting hammered by the FAA for singing off someone that that they deem a weak pilot. But for any senior F/O..if you can't hold a line straight out of upgrade SOE the risk to your career going through upgrade is NOT WORTH IT...Leave, stop racking up useless SIC TP time and go to another regional. You may go straight reserve and year one pay, but you will be flying equipment that will actually have value on your resume and that will open more career doors. I can tell you that with already having over 1000 TPIC, all of it TP between Dashes and King Airs, my resume is still getting "bottomed"..Those who got out...talk to them if you know them...Every single one of them had strong internals...none of them, not KB, not GB not any of them got out with a resume cold submitted. And some of these guys are telling me they are in class with former regional TP F/O's that don't even have an ATP or 1000 PIC becuase they knew the right person. My point, upgrade at PDT is more trouble then it's worth if you go reserve.
Don't disagree with your post. However getting to any greener pasture right now takes an internal rec. In a better pilot market turboprop time is on par with jet time at most places. The exception being JetBlue (was in '07 anyway) and some of the overseas carriers.

When XOJet was hiring several of us applied, all typed in the aircraft. None of us got the call while those with internal recs and no type were getting the nod. It's just the nature of the beast. When / if the economy turns around I think your luck will get a lot better with or without internal recs.

Hey PDTPILOT

Since you asked to reveal who I am and what my motives are I will just send you a private message. I am currently a new hire in training and we were discussing in class how the training department kept getting "hosed" and "bashed" on this forum. We brought this up to Jay Keen and he told us not to listen to the lies. He than asked a few of us in our class to create new user names to put down the nay' sayers on this forum. He said he wasn't able to post his own because of liability but assigned a few of us to talk about how great AQP is and not to believe the lies. Apparently they are hurting on applications because many people are reading these boards

And also if we set the tone for more positive feedback on this forum that we could possibly get an extra sim session!! anything counts right? so hopefully you and others can change the tone on these boards and create some positive talk. It would help me out for sure.

Thanks again and I feel bad if i peeved anyone off with my posts. Didn't want to come across like that .Hopefully see ya out on the line

Just maybe try and keep it hush..I dont know want keen or Modlin talking with me. I also had a question for you, you seem like you are experienced. I am currently getting ready for my MV (lesson 7) and had a question on circle to lands. I've heard 4 things from 4 different instructors. While holding the TCS button at MDA when are you allowed to actually descend below when you have the visual landing runway? I was told when established inbound, 45 degree point, or when u have the visual. Its just very frustrating sometimes hearing it so many different times!!whats your advice for the MV?

I appreciate it. I'm almost at my MV and have been waiting for like 5 days for it. They keep changing the schedule on me and I had to enjoy t-giving at chilis. I just kinda wish it was more structured here. I cant complain though , JK told our class we cant complain or raise a question in training becuase we are not union protected. Which i guess im just happy to be here. As far as 200's and overhiring i just overheard thag bob trout was told to "crank up" the hiring becuase the 200s wouod be on proprty by february. As you know commutair outbid us and now they have extra pilots in class. Thats why i will create this username to do anything not to be like the last 12 pilots let go last 2 months. Kinda scared.

Thanks again

Yeah I have definetly felt as though I walk on eggshells down here. There are awsome instructors such as martin thomas, stordach. But you are right about jk. He makes you feel like you cant get it done. Thats why I guess im a sucker and make usernames. My buddy went through PDT training in septemeber and is the most humble dude ever and was brought into keens office on his 9th lesson and was sent home because he a new class was coming into the sim and they coukdnt fit him into the schedule. Wasnt granted an extra sim. Things like that make this company sad. Great people in it but they manage it like its the 82nd airbourne

Well my tenure at piedmont has been nothing but a waste! They let my partner and I go this morning after 5 days off from the sim. They told us the hotel cost and sim is not economical to grant an extra sim session. Thanks anyway for your advice. Jay asked me for the password for this username and doesnt want me posting anything more. It will probably be him or another new hire. I deleted all these messages. Just a heads up not to respond back. I hope i find something elsewhere. Good luck
