Reality check.... You're not going to get 100% participation, let alone 100% voting in favor. You will also have scabs cross to move aircraft. It's just the nature of a few of the guys. If it happens, I bet I can name the guilty parties before y'all can post them.

I say once the strike vote passes we say heck with the contract the union has been negotiating, and come up with an ultimate contract the pilots really want. Take it to management and say final offer or strike. they've had their change to negotiate a "fair" contract. It's our turn now.

I'm fully aware we are just voting on giving the union the right to go on strike in the future should we be released from the NMB, with that said I don't think it's unrealistic to think we could be released and start our 30 day cooling off period within a few days of the strike vote passing.
I also don't think the company will let us go on strike it will come down to the last second and they will agree to something, however I stand by my opinion that they had plenty of time to negotiate a fair contract. In my book the bar has been raised and I will vote NO for any contract without significant improvements. Pay is one thing, but QOL is actually above that in my book so I will be looking at details.

Wow, and to think that Brian Lynch, as MECC had an offer from Piedmont (the real Piedmont) to paste us (Henson pilots) on the bottom of the Piedmont list and he said "nope, we'll take date of hire or nothing." Guess what we got??? May he rest in peace.

I think I know more than you think I do.
