We'll be lucky to get the 145s jammed down our throat, and like it at this point.
Well after there reported Profits I don't think anyone should be on concessions. Especially Envoy! I just hope Envoy doesn't roll over during this cat and mouse game. Just think if PSA voted there contract down. While Parker has a plan to keep is WO cost down I don't think showing one of the biggest profits in History is going to help him. We'll I hope not.
This is going to be interesting......

Default Slightly off topic,...

I just happened to run across this on another website:
THE ISSUE | Take Flight Tomorrow

"In a perfect world, Piedmont Airlines would have hired 50 new pilots in the first quarter of 2014. To date, we have hired only 28. This is not due to a lack of motivation or compensation. Piedmont pays one of the highest first year salaries ($30,000) in the regional industry and offers a $5,000 signing bonus for new hires. This is due simply to an acute shortage of qualified, appropriate pilots on the market, and the unprecedented demand for their services.”
STEVE FARROW, Piedmont Airlines President and CEO

*************************************

,.........or could it be, Steve Farrow, that word has gotten out about Piedmont's corporate culture and historically abusive training department? Naw. You're probably right. It's probably just "an acute shortage of qualified and appropriate pilots".

By the way,.....what is an "appropriate" pilot?

30000 first year? maybe WITH the signing bonus and holding a line right away, sit reserve and thats out the window

appropriate means you toe the line and adjust your entire life to suit pdt's purposes...

Just because you might be the highest paid regional at $30,000 per doesn't mean its still not a sh*t sandwich.

Today's millennials are way smarter than prior generations. They are not going to put up with this kind of nonsense and poor treatment.

I am on second-year pay...Bottom of the barrel as a line-holder and won't make 30K, so I have no idea where Mr. Farrow is getting his numbers, and I don't count per diem as compensation, it's an expense allowance. Great people here on the line, and I enjoy the old, cantankerous, slow, wonderfully appointed and scrupulously clean dash like an old sweater...However, unless you are either a damn, old and washed-up fool like myself...DON'T work here...So many better options if you are a young, ambitious and talented aviator to move your career forward and not be stuck in the anachronism of where I find myself.

$27,900 base pay before taxes...$31/hour 75 hour guarantee

Trust me! PDT is just a part of the spoke attached to the BIG wheel! The company is a good one however there are many cancer's within the company (JK, MM, JP, MK). Our MEC isn't thinking about us (pilot group) while they are in "meetings" with the AAG. Tired of these old ass pigs thinking they are king of the mountain!

Well I guess it's a good thing he MEC isn't in meetings with AAG. First airline job? Also those MEC guys care more about your pilot group than you know. Maybe after you've been at PDT for more than a year you can volunteer.

As for the rest, yes there are some major cancers imbedded in their mgmt.

Wasn't quoting nor referencing you. Unless you are both be19 pilot and star checker. And it is his first. So he says anyway.
