Opinion rant follows: Both are bleeding pilots, both can't hire to even cover attrition; neither can republic and they have lots of shiny E175's. Who cares how big they are? Who's going to do your flying if it's not you? A pilot is a valuable commodity these days. Management making pilots think it's about jets, and not about our wallets is the biggest scam ever perpetuated in my opinion.

If they are painting the Dash, means that they will keep it longer than expected.
But that's ok...management says they will be closed if they vote no.
I expect a Yes vote, followed by "we got you again PDT, thank you for helping to keep the whipsaw, now go and fly your pig with a new lipstick until 2024".
I've always come to the impression that they always wanted to get rid of ENY prop rates, because of a merger.

How EMB-140 does ENY have painted? 0
If they are painting the Dash, means that they will keep it longer than expected.
But that's ok...management says they will be closed if they vote no.

Airplanes need to be painted for many reasons, such as corrosion. There are still 4 (now 3) -300s in the old navy US paint scheme that are in pretty sad shape, and needed to be painted anyway. They painted some last fall, and started up again this year after the flying slowed down. Nothing to see here.
