MEC announcement for May 10th, 2009:
Quoted from the email sent by Piedmont MEC:
We gave up quite a lot in the Small Jet Restructuring Agreement of 2002. It’s time to get a little back. On May 17th, along with being the amendable date of our current contract, we are going to get a few significant snapbacks. So close your eyes and pull the rubber band back, here they are:
·A 3% across the board pay raise
·A $.05 per hour increase to our per diem, which now goes to $1.55/hr
·.3 hr. taxi/tow pay (Taxi/Tow Pay in Sec 3.F.)

Isn't it because Piedmont signed the contract to fly the jets but PSA then came in and agreed to do it for less money?

So according to our contract, we have a contractual pay raise coming on 5/16. Then this MEC says 3% on the 17th. Am I right to think we get the contract pay raise AND this 3% or does the contract pay raise come out to be 3%?

Yeah, I wasn't sure. I have only been here at Piedmont for just under 3 years so I wasn't around when any "contract" was signed for jet flying. I am just going by what every angry lifer captain here at Piedmont has told me. Which isn't saying to much about my intelligence.

Checking the math our regularly scheduled contract raise on 5/16/09 comes out to be a even 3% raise.
Year 3 FO as example 32.54/31.59 = 1.03
I sure hope we get another 3% on top of that (although I somehow doubt it).
Another question regarding that same MEC bulletin:
"This past week attorneys from USAirways Group, Piedmont and PSA filed petitions to dismiss our case."
If I read that right, it sounds like Mailine, PSA, PDT mgmt groups are trying to stop us from having our flow-thru case heard in court? Whats up with that?
